Tim Gale it’s not really that hard to do. I just got back from Philmont August 14 and it was a blast. We saw 2 bears in out Ewells Park campsite. One black and one cinnamon colored. They do it for a reason.
Considering this isn’t BSA specific (i.e. AT thru hikers do it). They are just doing what’s right for the safety of the hiker and the wildlife. I fed bear is a dead bear.
