@@RTPJu Actually the list is about having to choose a game in early 90s (without magazins nor internet) just looking the cover., for example The Terminator or Batman had the same cover as the films so I said to myself "If the film is good the game must be"
@@MakaimuraKiu I understood that. Happened a lot. I was lucky to have some good rental stores near my home and also a few videogame magazines that even having some questionable quality, at least were good enough to give some idea. And, of course, I had quite a good number of friends playing at the time and we used to exchange some good info. Cheers!
The only game on your list that I didn't like is Super Thunder Blade... all the others are, at least, solid 5/10... no bad game there. I only bought one Mega Drive game based on the cover, that is Countdown to Doomsday. But the cover was really good (99% of MD's games covers are ugly... even Japanese ones) and the game still is one of my favorite RPG ever. At the time I was really into RPGs and it did win me for the sci-fi space opera theme (Buck Rogers) and using AD&D system... the cover and the huge manual also helped a lot. Cheers!
Nice one. Revenge of Shinobi is one of the best Genesis games by far.
Yep, and maybe one of the best covers in Genesis.
Shinobi, 688 Attack Sub and Forgotten World are the only three good covers on this list, even if almost all the list consist on good games
