I've watched these 3 videos several times prepping for the start of my coloring. Chris, the details you added and the colors you use are excellent! hank you for so freely sharing yourr expertise. I learn so much from every video I've watched of yours, but this set is fabulous!!! Sincere thanks.
Would love to see some done from The Enchanted Forest by Johanna Basford. Your coloring is amazing. Really appreciate you showing the color pencils. Thankyou
You do such exquisite work! I love coloring and I admire you as an artist. Never get bored watching your vids.:) I’m no where near or could ever achieve the beauty you do from your creations. But I adore watching you work & I’ve learned a lot from you. Especially, 2 years back when I discovered the world of adult coloring and learned, it’s so much more than what my minds image of coloring was, like I did as a child.. So many other levels to pencil coloring, techniques, pencil choice, book choices. (I had over 150 coloring books, fairly quickly narrowed it down to my 3 fav artists.) I was at a very hard point in my life. A poop storm of punch’s to the gut. They kept coming. Each one increasingly worse than the last. Emotionally and physically. Depression, anxiety were horrific on s good day.. I needed something to focus on, keep me busy, to make me happy and creative. I wont bore you with the soap opera of my life that ensued, suffice to say, after 2 years I was just starting to get better, back last July, We lost our home, one of our dogs, in an electrical fire that started in the wall of our apartment. Depression hit a whole nother level of depression. Not only did I loose all my coloring books and supplies, I had a whole room packed with art/hobby/craft supplies, projects and power tools and such. The other day my teenage son and I were at the store and he saw World of Colors and said we should get it, he wants to color son flowers and we should do it together. So I watched this for inspiration :)
Patti Graham that might just be! But one way to improve on these videos is to show and list the colors used. People like to try an imitate and on this level it's too difficult for many. I also have to translate from Prismacolor to Polychromos and it's a lot of guesswork when deciding what specific pencils (a lot of people build a collection gradually) to buy. If anybody needs a chart that helps with finding the correct corespondent between the two brands, message me. @Chris, have you taken this listing into consideration?
great idea Gabriel. I think Chris has included text showing the colour pencil number and names in newer videos. Also I made some charts in my sketchbook of all the various brands of pencils that I have. I then hold up the 'samples' to the video and make a pretty good guess of which colours to use. This is great practice for me to develop my colour sense.
Gorgeous! How many layers of color would you say you typically use? The layering creates such beautiful depth - it's truly beautiful. Please make more videos....perhaps you'll favor us with something spectacular from her new book, Lost Ocean?! I'm subscribing to your channel tonight.
Yes Please more Lost Ocean. The pictures in Lost Ocean are so difficult for me to figure out. I have looked through your entire channel.. Please do more Lost Ocean.
