One thing about SEVENTEEN is they don't use "back dancers" as "decorations" or "just back ups" when performing. They make sure to include them in the bigger picture. Instead of the back dancers just highlighting them, they go with a full-on collaborative performance to create a whole masterpiece. I don't know if I'm makinbg sense, I'm not too good at explaining TT^TT Also, they don't call their "back dancers" as "back dancers" or "backup dancers", they just call them DANCERS.
Seventeen’s energy and presence is just crazy I never wanted to go to a concert of any artist, but now that I’v seen their performance video one of my biggest dream is to see them, never thought I will want to go to a concert 😂
I would love that too! so few groups come through my city, if I want to see any kpop I have to go to more west and then it goes from being a concert for a couple hundred dollars to nearly 2k
so do i. i love music, but to go to concert i'm not that interested because sometimes it make me bored and tired. but watching SVT make me really want to go even if it just once. watching their online concert already boost my energy, imagine if i attending their concert. Their concert are so fun.. 😁
9:53 that is so true they do have the choir like air about them , the harmony between them , not limited to just vocals but just in general, how harmoniously they seem to flow with each other and as a group is crazy to me. Also funnily enough they are called the theatre kids of the kpop industry because of all the dynamics they use in their art.
Thank you so much for checking out Seventeen ❤ . If you are interested in watching more of their performances i would highly recommend 2022 Asia Artist Award (AAA 20222 Seventeen performance) because that was a sight to behold. The energy, the passion they were radiating was amazing. They always give their all to their performance. Glad you enjoy them ❤
Wow, this is a great reaction to a live! That's my favorite thing about live performances, when you get that thrilling interaction between the crowd and the performer. Obviously, a rock show is different than a dance performance and that's different than watching live theatre but underneath, there is that same electric current of energy and how you can feel it passing back and forth. That is what really makes a good performer or good showmanship, when you are manipulating a crowd like that. Something I appreciate here is that their doing it in front of a mixed crowd too, all the different fans that come to an awards show. They're confident and experienced performers at this point, though I'm sure being a popular group and Super being a pretty big hit also helps with the confidence. 🫡
I absolutely agree, the one thing that all performances share though is the fact that the energy between the performer and audience is key, what a great parallel relationship!
i'm a metalhead but my favorite artist ever is seventeen!! like i literally only listen to metal (mostly nu and core haha) and seventeen so i love seeing other metalheads reacting to them! soooo glad to see you're enjoying them!! yes, they have 13 members! only 12 were present for this performance, as the leader s.coups was recovering from a torn ACL, and wonwoo covered his rap while one of their usual backing dancers covered some of his choreo sections. i 100% agree they use the fact they have so many members to their benefit but actually before they debuted they got a looot of criticism for being such a large group :( some of them prefer to use the stick mics while performing and some prefer to have the head mics - during concerts they usually go back and forth between which ones they use depending on the songs it's funny you mentioned dragon ball z because the song actually does take inspiration from goku, as well as the mythical "monkey king, sun wukong" (who goku is based on)! the music video includes the kamehameha from the anime, and the fingers to the forehead are a reference too! noticing the "tribalistic" nature as well is spot on; usually in kpop a title track will have a loose sound theme like "dark", "fresh", etc., and this one can be classed as "traditional". the backing dancers are actually part of the original choreography for this song and it can't really be performed without them; they only have a few other tracks/choreos where this is the case, like "don quixote" and "fearless", so the dancers aren't just for this one stage
Wait, they got flack for having a lot of members? Are people not aware of Super Junior or NCT? lol cmon now. Weellll he did a very good job covering that spot! Never would've guessed it
At 7:03 A fun little fact about this performance is that they changed the lyrics from - "This is the Manhwa credits song"- to - " This song is the MAMA s ending song " because they were performing at the MAMAs 😂 they are so cool and clever for that
11:50 That's the thing i always think about... I don't know how to put it in words but all i can come up with is ,they have a very vast range starting from vocals to their height to their structure and its absolutely incredible how they utilise it and amplify all of it without making it messy or chaotic. They play with the vocal dynamics quite a lot, going from deep raspy tones to high airy or sweet tones with pretty smart placements . I'm so sorry I've been rambling on and on in this comment section but i just love it when people are truly invested in them 😅 hope you do more of Seventeen reactions!
No, no, no, no, no need to apologize, I love the passion, this is the kind of thing that drives me and my channel, you give me so much needed enthusiasm. Never regret leaving these kinds of comments here, please.
aa, more seventeen!! i am so happy! thank you for this pretty in depth analysis, it's very interesting. super has a special place in my heart, especially the live performances. i also love that they added the minghao dance break in the middle since he was injured during the filming of the mv and couldnt actually dance. you're right about seventeen performances being very detailed, they have to with so many members, but they're also very meticulous people in general, especially when it comes to performing. can't wait for the seventeen one week!
it should be pretty awesome! I always feel like I want people to come away with something when they watch my stuff, I there is a lot of pros to having a larger group like this for real, it has to be extremely well more planned out that most
i love your reaction and analysis.. i learn something new about how SVT always make their performance perfect and addicted to watch. thankyou for this reaction.. hope you react more SVT live stage in the future because i want learn more about their stage performances.. 😄
Oh thank you so much! I will! Next month, I am doing to Seventeen what I am doing with TXT right now, 7 days, a minimum of 21 videos and some funny moments and a guide to boot
I assure you, you should hear songs from the k-rock band “Xdinary heroes” ( especially “Pirates”) . The best thing that happened in the history of k-rock 😭
the lyrics to this song actually reference the novel journey to the west, which dragon ball is based on. there's a lot of moves in the choreo that reference it also not just the one you mentioned, but you caught that correctly :) if you want, you can watch itsANDYandJAS' video reacting to the MV, they translate some of the lyrics and point out all the references to jttw/dragon ball (sorry tu plug other reactor's videos under yours but I thought I'd be fun for you to see all the details in the lyrics and choreo!!) and thank you so much for reacting to seventeen! this video was super fun (pun not intended haha)♥
haha! I love the pun! yes! I feel pretty good that I caught that, honestly kind of out of luck though haha! I probably will! just need some time, I do have some fun stuff planned for Seventeen in March
@@Killdeer25yep. The actual title of the song in Korean is the Korean name for who you'd know as Goku. So they sing basically "I'm feeling like I'm Goku"
I love your reactions. Plz do more on exo and shinee. Recently chen did a duet performance with Hynn. He covered a song "Tears" which is considered extremely difficult even for women and chen sang it in original female key. While another rock song was performed with Hynn too "Highway in the gale" and it was 4 keys higher than the original. i would love to see your reaction to both songs.
