I agree that upon my first watch, I thought it was a fun, wild ride. And then, I started to see the flimsiness and flaws. I still love the needle drops, cinematography and performances.
I just saw it last night and I’m still trying to decide how I feel about the ending. It’s definitely a lot of exposition, but I do like that he wasn’t a reliable narrator.
Just saw this at a fest and your second point was my biggest problem with it - Keoghan’s final monologue where he describes everything that has happened was unnecessary. It feels like the audience wasn’t trusted to understand it all Edit: I had a great time and loved lots of this film. But, yes, the over exposition was an issue to me as well.
I am sorry but this aspect ratio makes everything look like a TV show from last century. I am just waiting for the first movie to be shoot in portrait mode... Guys, we are lucky enough to live in a time where everybody has a nice big and wide screen at home, so please make content that fits on that screen will you?

So looking forward to seeing this! Thanks for the nuanced review!
Thank you!
