Bought an OR 2.5 date version and loved it so much that I recently ordered a no date version. Ginault makes some of the highest quality pieces out there. I would honestly go as far to say that its quality is a tad better than my BB58.
There's one other upgrade on the 2.5, which is that they added the minute markers under the "Hand Built in America" which mine (an Ocean Rover 2.0) doesn't have.
That's an interesting one, and I'll cover it in the full review. However, I did have an OR2 at one stage that had the dial markers, so while I know it's technically part of the spec of the OR2.5, I feel like it was introduced through the 2 at some stage in 2022-23 (I think the model I had which had the dial markers upgrade was maybe Sept 22 dated).
I have Ginault OR2 in blue and black. Especially blue is pure awesome. Love how that change color in light. Im thinking getting that new model in cherry blossom. That would be really something different in summer time
I do believe so Alex. I'm not up to speed on the technology or engineering on the bezels, whatever they do blows me away, whether on the ceramic or the steel for the expeditioner
Great end of the year review. Did you just request for gold markers and bezel inserts when ordering? Would you consider the OR2.5 or the Exp would fit a smaller 16cm wrists ? Happy New Year.
Yep I was in touch with John and asked about this configuration- he happened to have some parts in stock. I would say the OR2.5 wears a little smaller due to the bezel design (eg the expeditioner with the lighter color bezel insert feels a little larger), also the lugs are a touch chunkier which adds a little to the wrist presence.
I am waiting for my expedition. Maybe in the future a or2. Love the configuration of your watch. Nice vintage vibe. I wonder if people are going to start asking John for this style now❤

I only have 1-3 at any time. I rotate them a lot. But I've had probably 6-7 ORI's, 12-13 OR2's, 4-5 Silent Services, the Expeditioner review units and now this OR2.5. Always trying to find my ideal one, and this may be it.
You're doing a fantastic job! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
That special version of the watch looks absolutely fantastic! You are very blessed for having that made specially for you. Enjoy!
Im not normally a fan of gold patina, but that is a killer combo, looks amazing.
They really are such good watches for the price. I have the blue ceramic model. It’s fantastic.
I just ordered one . I'm very excited

Beautiful piece, I emailed John right away to try and get one.
I love this rendition
That's great news Jody, he did get in touch and said he has a few parts (while available) so can technically make a few of these for folk.
@AlexFleck81 that's great to hear , I'm very excited. I've had a few ocean rover, i prefer the silent service , but this iteration looks fantastic.

that looks really really nice. Are the bezel numbers still platinum sprayed? How does he get the color that way on the bezel numbers?
