Almost everyone can teach, with or without experience. Experience is a big advantage, but you need a whole lot more to become a great instructor. I think that Zero has a lot of potential. (lot more interesting comps then al that testosteron:)
Even tho you might have years and years of experience... You have to practice constantly or you gradually lose the training that was taught to you folks.
This so called commandant Vince G. (Vincent G.) was apparently a former RAID operator (hence the badge we barely see on his left shoulder) and he was the chief of a Research and Surveillance unit of the police from 2005 to his recent retirement. So, they're just regular policemen and not elite police, even less so special forces. One guy even has his name on a fake-ass personalized yellow military badge "Jérôme" 0:05
This video is about a French SF operation conducted in Aghanistan. 35 SF people (incl. one woman) were sent by night to catch a Taliban informator in a village. After they reach the targeted house, they catch the informator (21:30). At this point, drones above inform the team that 2 men run away in the village and hide in a specific house. The mission then is extended to catch these 2 men. When the French SF reach and enter this 2nd house, one SF operator is killed in action, and to recover the body and catch the 2 men, a 1h battle takes place in the house (at 38:50 for instance, 2 SF operators try to kill the rebels by shooting through a window from the roof). At the end, the 2 men are killed and one of these 2 men appears to be among the top-5 people wanted in Afghanistan, cause the SF operation actually interfered with a top-level meeting of Aghanistan leaders that night. www.dailymotion.com/video/x67nfnw For info, an other video about other French SF operation in Ivory Coast where SF rescue the Japan embassador (also in French, sorry): www.dailymotion.com/video/x6cmyqe
Clearly these guys are not French Special Forces (most likely they are GIPN, kind of local SWAT, and I doubt they would be RAID - Special Police Units, which have huge training capacities and no need to hire IZ). French Special Forces operate in Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, and Mali/Niger, and are among the top-5 best Special Forces in the world, especially for a decade, while they operate almost everywhere on the planet, gaining a very high level of operational experience. And these units are actually very secret too, so external people like IZ would never be allowed to approach them. Last but not least, it's the opposite, French Special Forces train a lot of Foreign Special Forces...
@@axogign9018 Sans doute oui, mais le sujet c'était le titre de la vidéo qui suggère que les hommes entraînés proviennent des FS françaises, ce qui est évidemment ridicule...
I have no dog here, but this looks a bit...weird. ? French SF have their own instructors, good ones too. France is currently involved in more overseas deployments than the UK or the US, and thus has a more constant influx of exp. Thus question 1: Why would French SF be training with an italian, while Italy has barely, to not been involved in any of the last major theaters ( 2x Iraq , Afghanistan, Africa ) ? Second point, knowing how the French work, I would say there is very little chance that this shooting session took place as any official joint training program. It looks more like, Ex French Police/SWAT, or even current ones, deciding to have some fun on a weekend. Or even big headed Reserves, calling themselves SF because they're serving in SF regiments as UIR merely doing PROTERRE. Finally, I d' like to add that, with the Chris Costa / Travis Haley effect, a lot of Europeans have been very frustrated to not have access to this kind of cool instructors in Europe. ( Name a single european shooting instructor that kicks ass and is as renowned as american ones? ) A lot of French shooters for example have to go to Switzerland, Germany or Italy, to follow what is referred to as "paramilitary training" (which is not necessarily well seen in civ shooting ranges in France by the way) . It's often frequent to have police officers or reservers on holidays going to these locations for some fun and extra exp. (which their periodic professional training does not provide by the way). All this to say, I'd be very careful as a you tuber falling on this video, and would not encourage people to believe these are actual FRENCH SF, I must admit I do not like the association of so called FRENCH SF with that instructor who's slightly controversial. (i.e. credentials)
+PHR You serious? Italian troops in Afghanistan was the third military force after us and uk, with responsibility of 1/3 of the nation's territorys control, the West Region to be precise (Helmand, Herat etc). You must be joking. French troops were simply absent. Where Italy have been reasonably more cautios was against Lybia, where the heavy consequences of the silly dumb French aggression in 2011 are still being suffered by the entire Europe, and against Syria. This war needs to be fought with combined operations of intelligence and small highly trained military teams. Thats why they need a good instructor.
MrSnakedHD I agreed with you statement. Why would the French Special Forces and Police hire a guy who had no combat experience and was a cook in the military? Unless they paid for it or someone had the inside connection. It is funny to because I have talk to Italian SOF and I have not heard one good about him. But hey it is youtube.
MrSnakedHD This idea is wrong. Many French regiments (mainly commandos and legionnaires) perform training courses in various countries of the world and also organize courses for many countries including the US. I have a blog to offer on the view of a US Navy veteran for French forces in Afghanistan. Enough to have a very different point of view. ;) chrishernandezauthor.com/2013/07/09/working-with-the-french-army/

Here is the thing. Zeros skills are unquestionable. I don't think anyone will argue that he has more skills with firearms than 99% of the instructors out there. The questions is: IS ZERO AN ACTUAL INSTRUCTOR? The reason why this is questionable? 1. He uses an assumed name. I've trained with Yeager, Clint Smith, and Massad Ayoob. There are plenty of great instructors like Costa, Haley, Farnam and vickers. All go by their real names and have real, verifiable backgrounds. Zero does not. 2. A quick visit to his site shows no contact info other than an email. No phone number, no fax, no secretary etc. The "classes" have dates but no location and again no way to verify they actually happen. 3. No one seems to have ever trained with zero. I mean, I've trained with people and have no problem telling others they were great classes. Why is it impossible to find just one real person who has taken a class? 4. Did he deny in this video what Yeager was saying? No. He took it in a different direction and did not deny the allegations. Again, there is no denying Zeros skills as a shooter. But I don't think he is an actual instructor.
***** Maybe not because in the one I seen all he did was talk about "instructors" being professional to each other. I thought it strange that he never directly addressed the accusations.
***** Ok, so where is the proof? I'm sure if I said I have a BA in computer science and you asked to see it I could show it to you. If you asked Yeager when and where he was a cop he can tell you and provide proof. I can show various certs I have. So, where are his? Anyone can say they are anything online. I can say I was spec ops, I have taught here and there, I'm a sniper, I have EOD training, etc. I can also make a shooting video with a few people and blur their faces. Does that also make me a legit cool guy operator? Do you see a problem here? Every other trainer in the world can tell you their name, where they have trained ect. Ask Haley, Costa, Yeager, Farnam, Lamb, Smith, Ayoob, and any other REAL instructor you can find, anywhere and they will all tell you their name and certs. Then there is good ole zero who came from no where and not a single fucking person other than me and Yeager questions his background. With all the bull shit about "stolen valor" you would think it would at the very least be questionable.
For him to be so top secret he sure does make a lot of videos and posts on facebook. If the ppl he is supposed to work for wont even let him give out his name do you really think they would be ok with him doing trick shot videos twice a week?
***** So no questions asked? Well hell, if thats all it takes I need to make my own operator channel. Grow a beard and tell everyone I can't tell about my training or even give out my name. Apparently as long as I'm a pretty good shot all will be well with the world. Who knew.
You're killing me! Why so négative comments? To you, Why this man don't answer you? He spendt his time to teach special force how not to dead or how protect peuple? I thing he havé no Time to lose with this, he préférs to spendt his Time with brothers!
I have trained with Yeager and slept in his basement. He is a waaaaay better dude in person than on his internets videos. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Instructor Zero or training with him. Until I do, I cannot judge one against the other for who is the better trainer in person. All I can do is express my opinion about which one makes the more entertaining videos, and who cares about my opinion when you can judge for yourself abut who's videos you would rather watch? I believe it is an equal loss to the gun community to lose either one of them because RUclips banned them or their videos. America is about freedom to choose. Don't let RUclips take away your freedom to choose. And that is why we join the #unbanjamesyeager movement, not because we like or don't like Yeager the man. Just like it is the same reason we will join the #unbaninstructorzero movement when that day eventually comes.
I would guess at least a few thousand current law enforcement officers are among the some 60,000 students that have attended Yeager's training over the years. I was among the some 6,000 students Yeager's Tactical Response trained last year. This year, 2018, Yeager has said he wants to cut that down by a couple of thousand. My point is that Yeager trains thousands per year. Almost anyone with around $500 and some 1,000 rounds of ammo can train with Yeager... he will even loan you a gun if you need one. Apparently you have to be a current member of some military's Special Forces team or a current SWAT team member to get actual in person instruction from Instructor Zero. Sorry, I'm a regular dude so I don't qualify. And since, like the vast majority of all of the other Instructor Zero fans, I cannot make an honest comparison between them because I have not attended training given by BOTH of them. Most with opinions about them have attended no training given by EITHER of them, which of course does not lend a lot of credibility to those kinds of opinions based on no in person actual real experience. But whatever. Opinions, everyone's got one. I like Instructor Zero's video's better than I like Yeager's videos... but if the total extent of your training is watching videos, you are only fooling yourself into thinking you are better than you really are. In other words, I prefer to watch Instructor Zero's video's, but I train in person with Yeager because you, me, or anyone can actually schedule training with him. Trying to compare Instructor Zero to James Yeager is like comparing Apples and Oranges, they are different one from another, and some prefer one over the other as a matter of personal preference. But personal preference does not make an Apple or an Orange any less healthy or nutritious.

i have no idea why the french special forces would travel all the way to the eastern united states to "train" with lol this instructor. You'd think they'd do it at their own base in France as it would be cheaper for instructor zero to go there rather than to fly a bunch of "movie extras" all the way over to where he is LOL.
This is cool, but if he was never a vet he shouldn't act like one, just be upfront and tell people you are a civilian with no background in the military.
