Holy shit. Making multiplayer compatible with other mods would take YEARS. so much chaos. Whoever made the Multiplayer mod my god needs to be hired directly from the devs of RimWolrd.
It'll be like the combat extended meme of people asking authors to make it compatible probably... Also, so long as you're not real-time strategy PvP raiding (which they may be thinking of adding to the mod) and your mod list is the same, the whole process is probably only going to be sending raid/item/event IDs that both Rimworld games recognise, it's not like the other multiplayer mod that needs everything to play nice to work as it generates one map and everything on it for multiple people.
If, of course, it is compatible with other mods (probably like the other comment, it's created via ID recognition or something) already, it'd be interesting... to have to carry a mod list to deliver directly to Kleaper or somethin'. The lootboxes mod would be insane to have in that case - pay real IRL cash to just drop FIVE HUNDRED (THOUSAND) treasure chests on him, maybe? Or perhaps give him an infinite abundance of androids?
Just imagine raids in endgame with combat extended here. Youre enemy just droped several super soliders on youre head, and you cannot phisicly kill them, because they got like 40mm defensive rating.

funny, over the last couple weeks I had been thinking about an open world mod, thinking about how to design it for player interaction etc. the way I had been thinking of it probably wouldn't work without a complete overhaul though, with how rimworld actually apparently works(as it exists in my limited understanding anyway) perhaps I'll give this mod a try
@@coyoteblue4027 ive played around 800 hours or so of rimworld and I can envision how you could create this mod, however the main issue would be how the fog would be implemented, because when making the map size the maximum, the game (even on a good computer) becomes laggy when you get later into the game. So if you were to do this I would consider overhauling the vision system entirely and making it where you can only see areas where your colonists are, or where you have structures that are claimed.
How does the fast forward work? If I'm in winter but my friend is in summer, does that cause weird desync issues where his colonists die from the cold while for him are still alive?
Does the multiplayer thing just let others traade whatever they want with each other or are people somehow dev moding in the multiplayer game, cause I still dont understand how they are doing that. also how many passwords have you forgotten recently...like bro, write those damn things down somewhere, hell put it in a private discord chat that no one else can see or something, basically anything, you forgot your password, you lost the one playthrough you were doing...sounding like your a mess over there.

doing an open world mod with fog of war would actually be really cool. It would take a lot of work though since youd have to redo a lot of things
