Thank you for this video. I needed to open up my remote to clean some gue from the volume button since it was sticky. After cleaning and reassembling the remote it was all good.

Thanks for this, mine stopped working last night completely. Took it all apart this morning as per your instructions, cleaned up all the corrosion and gunk from the battery related wiring and now as good as new. 😄
Now they have buttons for Netflix and amazon that I don't care the least, hopefully I can put a piece of plastic film do deactivate them!! Thanks a lot

Just to clear that. If the Remote is the same then it should slide. But as to give u an Idea it slides from the front.. and the Back is a fixes cover and doesnt move. I hope it works. Good luck
Useful info - the plastic strip to get the inside to slide out. However the video itself was poor.A lot of it dark and out of focus and in too many shots your hands were obscuring what you were actually doing.

You have got the bottom spring wrong. It needs to fall into the notches of the bottom plate. You have the spring upside down. The spring goes into the round hole through the motherboard to the other side. From what I see you have it upside down. Am I correct ? I just disassembled it and cleaned it as well.I had the problem of draining the battery after replacing the batteries. I hope it will be fine. After all doing this you need to pair it with the TV again to get the blinking away.
Hi great video, I have a question if you could help please...I have the same remote but the battery went flat so I used the other remote for a while.....now I've replaced the batteries and it won't work, the red led light doesn't flash when I press any buttons. If I was to open it up what would I need to do to make it work again? Any help/advice would be great
Hi. If it doesnt light you need to check two things. First make sure that the new batteries are really new. For example try them on another device. Second is to make sure there is no white debris or calc on the metal part in the remote where the batteries fit. It may cause current connection issues due to having the batteries inside and not using the remote for long. Regards
Hi thank you for your reply, I checked and the batteries work on another device, I also took the old batteries out of the remote when they stopped working then realised I never had any new ones at home so just used the other remote, there doesn't seem to be any white residue in the battery compartment so was thinking it could be something internal in the remote but im not sure from watching the video if there is anything that could have come loose etc which could cause it to stop working
I dont think its something internal. Check if u r putting the batteries the right way inside + and - wise. Sometimes they are the other way around. Sometimes i did that 😂
😅..I have checked and they are in correctly it seems, both batteries insert with the + at the furthest away from the volume and channel selectors and the - closest the vol/channel buttons... i honestly can't think what it could be 😬 Im guessing the remote must have broken but can't think how, I left it in a draw since the batteries went flat. The only reason i could think of would be that the black open/close Button on the back is stuck and need to be cleaned/lubricated. Try to clean it put one tiny dot of machine oil like the ones for the Haircut Machines and press alot on the button to make it work properly again then try to close the remote. Or after closing it hit with ur Finger on it till it clicks. I hope this work
Hello. I think something is sticking the parts together. It should open. Try to press on the butoon and pushing the inside part out, if not try to shake the cover but hitting it on all sides of the silver cover on the palm of your hand to try to break any dry sticking material between the cover and the black part inside. I hope it works out.
Hello. Try to clean it with some alcohol on an ear cleaning tip while the batteries are removed and make sure it gets dry before you try to put it back together. Make sure also that the batteries are good. Sometimes having liquids or dirt on the Motherboard wouldnt let it work. Good luck fixing it.
@@ramialdaoud2942 I just manage to repair it, i put some tape underneath so it can make better contact with the button. This tutorial helped me a lot, and saved me some money- so i thank the maker and wish him good health and many happy years !
You just have to press on the button on the back side and while pressing push the inlay from the Housing upwards. If its stuck you need to apply more pressure untill it comes out.. if it doesnt help try to warm the top part of the remote with a Hair dryer.. but be careful no to heat it a lot espicially to part where thebatteries are.... otherwise you will ruin it or the batteries may explode.

Try to reboot the remote. Remove the batteries then press the on/off botton for 8 seconds then reinsert the batteries

The left button doesnt work( led doesnt shine) so i opened it, cleaned it but still doesnt work.
Do you think its the motherboard? Or any ideas?
Try new batteries or to reset/restart/reprogram the remote through pressing the power button for 15 seconds.
Otherwise its maybe defective.

how do you open a stuck one? Housing won't push up to even allow the change of batteries. Need help

Then press the button and push toward the outside... the problem will be that its sticky due to dirt or fluids or due to that the spring is defective.

Press on the Button und push upward. It maybe stuck inside. Press hard dont worry it wont break easily.
