In this lesson, we’re going to learn a Stevie Ray Vaughan style Texas blues guitar solo over slow blues groove in the key of G. The solo is broken down into 10 licks. Although I’m playing over the changes, all of these licks will work as standalone phrases and will fit over the i chord and can even be repurposed to fit other grooves and styles of music. There’s plenty of classic SRV licks to get into here!
    Enjoy!

Oh yes ! Thanks you very much again Bobby. Another great inspiration to my guitar journey. I was about to ask you to talk more about your frequently use of your middle finger as an hybrid picking. I notice that in many of your videos without being sure and you never talk very much of your right... euh left hand when explaining how to play. It makes a big difference in the sound and of course speed up the play. But you finally mention it at 12:23 in this video 😃 Now I have to practice hybrid picking 😁

Thanks, Laurent. Yeah, the hybrid thing just crept into my playing about 30 years ago and seemed to evolve naturally. I originally only did it on the high E string, but now I often use it to cross strings or to emphasise certain notes.

Thanks. It's a Gordon Smith Classic S. They make amazing guitars. I have a video demo of the guitar's specs somewhere on my channel.
