It's no trick! She was kicked out a pack because she was the weak link & she found Rocky & wants to mate! She doesn't understand that he isn't a coyote to run off into the wild with her etc. Being that the owner said they locked up but she didn't become pregnant she comes to be with him everyday. But I saw the owner comment that the vet put the coyote down because she was too old because of her "Teeth was worned out" or something like that, I disagree with that because she's been surviving just fine! That vet is wrong! 😡

Yes! She wanted a friend cause she was alone. And she saw a pretty boy and wanted some of that while she was at it. Its a shame she got put down. Possibly coulda had a little thing built for her stump and send her to a wolf sanctuary. Vets just take the easy way out.

It looks like to me she's wanting to get some of that. Or maybe that's just a ploy to get your dog to meet her family for a dinner meal, and your dog's the meal! I don't know for sure, but makes for a video to watch.

I thought the coyote was acting lame to lure your dog also. Last august in Pa. I was on a walk on a gated road in Pa. Elk county and a huge coyote came out on the road and saw me and charged running right down the road at me at 50 yards. I carried my little 22 Jennings pistol with me so I took it out of my pocket and racked a round and started firing with careful aim and the coyote never stopped until I ran out of bullets and then it stopped as I struggled to reload the yote sat down in the middle of the road and watched me reload my magazine. I glanced at the coyote while trying to look and push the shells into the magazine hoping it didn't charge. It was intense like Dangerous hunts video game the first time you played. When I pushed the magazine into the gun the coyote turned and trotted with tail drooping and jumped off into the brush about a hundred yards up the road. I walked up to where it went into the brush and I got the bright idea to try making a squeal noise by kissing the back of my hand. I made one squeal noise and suddenly 10 ft off the road the brush moved towards me like two hops and something with a brownish red back cleared the top of brush but as I hyperventilated skipping backwards with my 22 drawn it stopped short of the edge of the brush. I walked up the road to leave it alone for a bit, settle down, regain some courage and came back and squealed one more time. The coyote hopped, cleared the top of brush where I could completely identify it and disappeared down the hill towards the highway. It was found later that day a mile away and must have crossed a river plus a couple roads and was found dying in front of somebody's house by a guy and his girlfriend as they were driving up the road. They thought it was a pet dog and the girl held it in her arms and was petting it when a guy in a pickup stopped and said "Hey , what are you guy's doing with that coyote?". The coyote died within a couple minutes and the guy threw the coyote in the back of his truck and drove up the road. That's not the end of the story. I told my wife I needed a gun with a longer barrel so my aim would be better so I bought a cheap Phoenix hp22a 5 inch barrel pistol and started going for walks again and a week later I stopped to rest on a stump and saw a coyote using the trees to sneak in on me and my trusty Phoenix hit its mark at 20 yards (head shot). I don't know if coyotes are extra hungry in august or what but I will always carry when I go on walks.

@@user-us4dj9tv7j Eastern coyotes have ZERO DOG in them. They evolved over time through spanning out in their habitat from the west. I've done the Genetics testings myself being a Medical Lab Tech and all and studying Wolves and Coyotes lol. What your thinking about is a COYDOG, which is when Eastern Coyotes mate with a domesticated or wild dog lol.

I knew if I went the comments someone would post how coyotes trick domestic dogs into following them. I keep seeing this posted everywhere which leads me to believe people are just parroting what they've heard others say. Has anyone ACTUALLY seen this behavior themselves? I'm truly curious. And for my part, I will do my own research and revisit this later.

This is true. However, lone coyotes have been known to be friendly towards dogs because they have no other way to socialise. Also she totally wants Rocky's D. If you let her stick around she'd totally have babies later. If she was brave she'd stick around and you could prolly semi domesticate and help her with that stumpy leg of hers.

Jannise Johnson I believe it. I had a neighbor who use to let her cat play with the fox. Lol. When she said that. I looked at her like WTH. I too heard the same about the sly fox. How they befriend pets to wander off for the slaughter. Well let's just say one night the kitty never returned.

Mark Lagace it looks to heavy to me to be a pure coyote unless its a coywolf. Most of them where I live are confirmed hybrids by DNA testing. He looks crippled. Probably escaped a trap some asshole put out. Trapping makes predation on pets worse because if they escape a trap they're usually to crippled to hunt wild prey and are left with no choice but to eat poultry, sheep, calves and pets. Healthy coyotes occasionally take domestic animals but disabled ones have alternative.
