He's also very resentful and just can never let go of anything. In relationships he's often unsecure and jealous over little things. On top of all that he develops anger issues in the later seasons. The only reason everyone thinks Ross is a great guy is because of David Schwimmers acting.

Every Friend knew Ross always loved Rachel and that you should stay away from Janice. But saying yes to Joey who can't even provide for himself instead of telling Ross you want to work things out sure is a convincing idea.

This is where the whole Joey/Rachel thing should have come to an end, when it was still funny and hadn't yet become too awkward. Having them actually start dating in the season 9 finale and the start of season 10 was jumping the shark.

(Don't deny it!) 3.joey shows true feelings for rachel that hes never shown anyone not even kate. 4.they both are attracted to each other multiple times throughout the series 5.joey truly cares enough about rachel by letting her move in, helping with emma, and putting his feelings aside for their friendship. It takes alot of guts to hold back ur feelings for someone you love

Definitely one of the worst cringiest moments in the Friends saga. I’m all forward Joey having a crush on someone it made him look cute but did it had to be Rachel though, I mean I was rooting for Phoebe I’m still am. They didn’t have to go out the show went downhill because of it.
It was better for drama in the show (like getting people to want to tune into the next episode) because of Ross and Rachel and also better for showbiz/media attention at the time. Not excusing it, just saying that's probably why they did it.

And after a brief attempt at dating, they decide they’re better off as friends. It’s honestly, in my opinion, a really relatable story as far as stories in this show are concerned. It's such an easy remark to throw that will get likes almost automatically. I doubt lots of people really think it was such a crime. It's more like a pledge of allegiance to the mainstream view of "Friends" :) What I see as a huge mistake in the situation is that the writers actually budged and rewrote the Joey-Rachel storyline according to the wishes of (presumably) a majority of the audience. That needn't have happened, it closed a potentially interesting way of development for at least half of the main characters and led to (to me) a very unsatisfactory conclusion.
This should have been resolved within the episode with Ross and Rachel getting back together. But Ross being awkward about all the Rachel Joey stuff was hilarious. I also kinda liked Joet and Rachel together.
