As a trini I'm proud of her pronunciation of the country.... love this
Ikr
Samee...
How about her pronunciation of Chaguanas?
@@michael1608 I'm from Chagaunas and I am trying to bypass it since I understand how it might be difficult to pronounce. ... but you know how they usually pronounce our country it sounds like some new place
Was expecting to hear tobag-o
I always feel so happy when foreigners notice my country. We're so small we sometimes seem nonexistent. But when Carnival time come... THE WHOLE DAMN WORLD KNOW WE HERE
(Side not: I love how you actually pronounced Tobago like we do)
Call_me_nUmBeRs JK! Yes me too, it’s always special when bigger countries notice us.
Me to, and sometimes it bring tears to my eyes
Ikr!!
yes so true
Tobago has the world's oldest forest reserve. Many endangered species reside there.
Very true bro just like trinidad has the largest roundabout in the world which we were cheated out by google lol
Not the worlds oldest... I thought Brazil a have dat
When I say the world's oldest reserve, I mean it has been protected by the law for the longest period of time, compared to other forest reserves around the world.

I see now!

I did not know that
@@lilchip3280 yh I didn't know that until some years ago and it amazed me because of other countries and their massive infrastructure I didn't expect thst
It's 3 miles in circumference

Chaguanas was never a city but a borough. San Fernando is the city.
I see ur channel needs to do some more research just cause the country is Spanish doesn't mean every place is Spanish pronunciation
it will soon have City status in a few more years because of all its focused development...
@@SomduttBaggins they've been sayin that for decades and we're still a borough.
@@peanutbudderr5352 What country is spanish?? Trinidad and Tobago is not spanish.
@@hythlodaeus9944We were governed by Spain at one time and the Spanish influence still remains.

Great Video thoo!!
thought so myself,, chica did a super fine job.. LOVE it !
Thank you :D
The problem is "Tobago" is Spanish and some foreigners pronounce it in English because they're unfamiliar with its origin. To get over this problem, it should be spelled "Tobaego."
My birthplace, sweet Trinidad and Tobago..we have rivers..too bad you did not zoom in at Maracas Bay in Trinidad or Store Bay in Tobago.Nylon Pool and Buccoo Reef in Tobago is beautiful :)

Enjoyed this episode...Trini to the bone!
The only thing that Columbus discovered there, were people
Already living in Trinidad and Tobago. He never explored the islands.
He renamed the island to suite the Spanish Catholic monarchy
Isabella and Ferdinand. The only thing that Columbus thought
Of Trinidad was “this another country for the Spanish Empire”.
Yes he came here and found the Caribs and the Arawacks(how ever u spell that)
It does feel nice to hear about my country,,,,learn some things I myself didn't know.
1 error Mon Repos is actually a dsitrict in the Large City of San Fernando.
Christopher Columbus thought "waw this place is beautiful" "let's bring slaves!" The queen "umm ok"
😂😂😂
Haaahaaahaaahaaa
God bless the Queen that is why we have so many peoples who ran from poor countries came as indentured slaves I hope to humbly make life better for everyone be a PATRIOT
God bless our nation from all enemies domestic and foreign

Hi just started watching your vid. Judging by the date it was posted the reason you're not see many people around is most likely because at that time the country was on total lockdown due to Covid-19. So far your video is very interesting. Thank you for profiling my country.❤️🇹🇹😊
I from trinidad and tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹wohoooo trini
Thank you love from Tobagoooooo ❤️❤️ 🇹🇹
Thank you 😄
Chaguanus and San Fernando are the biggest cities, Mon Repos is a village in San Fernando
Thanks for the clarification!
Chaguanas does not have city status. They are a borough
Chaguanas is not a city Trinidad only has 2 cities Port of Spain and San Fernando 👍
No Chaguanas is not a city. Port-of-Spain is the capital and the biggest city in Trinidad. Where do you all get this information from.
It’s always nice when people say nice things about my country, thank you for making this video.
❤️
I'm soo proud and thankful that I am a Trinidadian. 🇹🇹 😃😍
Even though the pitch lake has black water it is one of the most purest waters

Loving the video of my beautiful home! Keep up the good work.
Thank you for showing and telling me about my home.
Ahhh how I miss it so much 😭
He called it Trinidad (the holy trinity) because of how beautiful it was.
Love at first sight one would say.
Thank you for your comment! It really looks beautiful!
Thank you for reviewing this beautiful country!
If you want to find people check the pictures of the bars and beaches I'd suggest checking places near Ariapita Avenue in Port of Spain. We LOVE to party. You can also look for pictures of Trinidad Carnival to see what that looks like.
Other places of interest for tourism are the Caroni swamp and Maracas Beach on the north coast of Trinidad, and the famous Asa Wright Centre that people from around the world visit to see our wildlife in their natural habitat, including the 'oil birds' which live in caves and fly at night using sonar like bats. In Tobago you will find the oldest Forest Reserve in the world taking up much of the island, and the glass bottomed boats that head out to the reef.
Thanks for making a great video about us.
Chagaunas is actually pronounced as Sha-Gau-Nas
:)
I chuckled a little at that.
Eh I does call it show-go-nas
Or maybe Shuh gwornus. 😀
Fogonas
San Juan is also pronounced sawa doesn't mean it is correct
Eheh all d trinis?????!!! Like this

Thank you so much! And thank you for sharing 😄
Love from Turkey ♥
Yh I really love Trinidad, maybe bc I've been here all my life and was born here
So that's what we look like to someone who's never been here.
Dear Travel & Geography, the historical background to Trinidad will probably blow your mind.
If you are interested, there's a book on the history of the West Indies as a whole, called "From Columbus to Castro", that may be worth your while.
It might explain why we don't pronounce all those Spanish names with a Spanish accent here in Trinidad, and why very few people here speak Spanish at all.
Yes, the country is green. We have 400 species of birds at last count and we keep finding new species.
The geology is also very diverse across the islands. We even have mud volcanoes and a spring with prehistoric water.
But it is the people that make these islands special. Deeply spiritual, musically profane, and full of the joy of life, Trinbagonians are a special mix of cultures from all over the world. We love to travel and Trinis have been everywhere and in everything.

I'm a Trini living in Canada. Both islands are wonderful to visit, but I love the beaches in Tobago, as the current isn't as strong as in Trinidad and the water is very warm. We stayed at Miller's Guest Resort in Bucco, right on the beach.
Thank you for sharing!
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO INDEED IS A PARADISE!😃😄
Thank you!😊
I'm from Trinidad and I wouldn't recommend that you leave Tobago to come to Trinidad if you want the best beach experience
This is my country❤️🇹🇹
I can confirm that we are NOT shy people 😂 but most of us have good manners!
Good reviews! 🇹🇹
Thank you :D
Trinidad and Tobago was "discovered" in 1498, when Christopher Columbus landed on our shores. In reality, we were already "found" and occupied by the indigenous Amerindian tribes of the Arawaks and Caribs.
Thank you for staying this. Columbus was a murderous pedophile and we should stop speaking his name.
I'm very simple, I see t&t on RUclips, I click
Very nice video, you did us justice but there is a lot more my beautiful twin republic has to offer.
1)It has a very diverse ecology
2)It has 2 national birds, the scarlet ibis and the cocrico(also know as the Tobago Pheasant)
3)It has one of the largest deposits of natural cruel oil
4)There are many forts located throughout both islands left behind by the British, Spanish and French colonials
5)It is the home of the National instruments, the steel pan, aslo Soca and Calypso music
6)It has the world's best carnival(I recommend you research the kings and Queens costume competition
The list goes on.........❤
I love my country Sweet T&T
