Nice vid Mark. I did a similar fan job to my dometic 195l compressor fridge. I actually sealed off the outside world and ran a duct to pull the van cabin air with a dual thermocouple variable fan speed controller off eBay and a couple high end computer fans. My implementation is absolutely the wrong idea for 3 way but for 2 way works awesome. Also means we have closed a 400mm x 600mm hole to the outside so no more wind or hot air blowing in. In my mums case no huntsman spider access, one came through the vents when we were up the Murray under a tree, classic she is petrified of spiders and her be was right next to fridge. Was a bit of a circus that night. Hope you guys are well. Cheers P
Yeh that sounds like a brilliant solution for the compressor fridge, i had considered rigging up my own set up with pc fans but never got around to it so pretty stoked with the ease of this setup. We like huntsmans but definitely don’t enjoy having them in the van and hadnt considered that they may be coming in bis those vents 🤨 Good to hear from you mate, hope your keeping well
I was considering doing the same thing but rigging up a fixed filter cloth to stop both the dust and creeping crawlies, why is this the wrong idea for a 3 way?
@robterkely2245 3 way generates a lot of heat using gas. You may also be exhausting carbon monoxide into the van when on gas. Even on 12v and 240v the 3 ways use heat to generate the cool, it is the mechanics of a three way using Dalton's law of partial pressures in a heat exchange system. In a 3 way you want all the heat to exhaust outside the van, including the carbon monoxide on gas. Hope this helps
@robterkely2245 if you were pumping the air out of the van, that would be different, I was commenting on my case only where I had a two way 12v 240v fridge with a compressor where I sealed off the outside world. With a 3 way you would want everything going to the outside world.
It's always good when the boss aproves, as always a real solid and honest video well done guys ....
Thanks legends, very happy with the result, wish we did it sooner!
Works very well. Did this our Vitrifrigo fidge 9 months ago . Working extremely well.

Great handy video
Cheets guys, glad you found it to be handy
Interesting thanks as i have been thinking about the fans for a while now if they are worth the money
We have been too, makes me wonder how hot our fridge was getting before hand
@@Ourwhittleadventure yes i did wonder if the food was keeping cool enough
Which model fridge fan system did you get.
Its the Klevacool 3-way fridge kit from 3D Print RV.
We have internal and external fans
