Thank you for another excellent video. It was great to see that the bus 'we were riding' and most other buses on the 700 were very busy. As Stagecoach PLC has been saying, the £2 fare has had a considerable impact on long routes like the 700.
The usage on the route could have been raised, and increased the journey time. Which Stagecoach has to put more buses to maintain all scheduled service running.
I remember covering the entire 700 from Commercial Road in Portsmouth to Churchill Square in a little over THREE hours. Mind you this was twenty years ago......
When the bus set off from where it was in Littlehampton during the first first 10-15 minutes parts of the sky were covered with what I could only describe as lead-grey clouds in otherwords you would have bet on there being some heavy showers of rain but it never happened - or at least the bus didn't get caught in it. Then, after about the 40 minute mark we are coming up to roundabouts where there's obviously been heavy showers because the road is damp and there's lying water/puddles but the sun is quite clearly beating down. Strange weather, changeable as you might expect in the middle of Spring.
That was an amazing bus ride. Just loved it all. The quaint little shops and some beautiful architecture along the way, lovely. Thank you. 🥰
Glad to hear you’ve enjoyed it well😀
