Alex Morales ive seen samoans in other college football teams and they butchered it. i did a little research on kahuku and apparently a teacher of maori descent from the school noticed other teams around usa performing the haka and taught the kahuku team how to do it properly.
This is for real, a real haka with meaning, the Hawaii state high school football championship. Not putting on a show for tourists at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
Holy crap. This really IS a really good US haka. I saw an other video of handegg players doing a haka and that was just distasteful. This one, though, was really well done, and I feel like the players understand the meaning of a haka well enough.
Difference between kahuku high school and other schools in da U.S that does the haka is that Kahuku football team are all Polynesians, Hawaiians, Samoans, Tongans, Maori's, Tahitians, Tokelauans and Fijians.

Back when I was in school they let us do the haka till about 10th grade (2005) then they said it was considered taunting which sucked cuz the haka was a tradition to us in school

Hillary2016 I've seen some maoris that do it and they fucking suck. No mana behind their actions/words. Same with non maoris but this kahuku team does the haka justice! Not to mention they made their own and wasn't biting off anyone.

As a Maori the only Polynesian team outside of NZ that can get a Maori haka right is Kahuku. Timing, Actions, Pronunciation are all on point.
