      Thanks Ryan! I think I'll articulate that Nietzschean/walking aphorism thing a bit more in future because it was a real bit revelation (for me anyway)

    I just ran across your video and love your spiritual perspectives. Every time I go on long hikes, I feel a deep connection to the natures magic and let all my anxiousness dissipate like mist in the air. I wish you the very best and look forward to more of your content.

    Buen Camino, brother. The Camino is a truly humbling thing. It's tremendous that you it affected you in such a profound way. God be with you.
    I'll be walking part of the Portugal Camino in a week's time. I can't wait!

      Ooh nice I'm jealous I'd love to be heading back out there again! I'm thinking I might do the portugese next year. That and del Norte call to me but I'm going to wait and let it cook and see what comes up. Which way are you taking? I hear there's an inland route and a coastal route right?

    • @nicholaslewis862
      @nicholaslewis862 Год назад

      @@TheLivingPhilosophy I'll be walking a small portion of the coastal route with a good mate of mine. It marks the end of a gruelling year and a half of study for me, and one of our few opportunities to spend time together before 2024. The forecast is very good. I wonder how different the experience is walking north, as opposed to walking west.

    • @TheLivingPhilosophy
      @TheLivingPhilosophy  Год назад

      What a way to cut loose! Hope it's everything you're looking for and more! I do wonder about the northward thing as well - completely different Camino tan if nothing else 😂

    funny, we've had that Van Gogh around the house for a while. Love your videos. Thanks for the information. I worked on the West of Ireland at a hostel for a couple who did the Camino in chunks. I've been interested in it ever since.

    Van Gogh's 'Smoking Skull' in the background! Wow - first time I've seen this painting (print) anywhere outside of my own book on Van Gogh! One of my favourite paintings! Love it.

    Loved hearing about your experience. I also found my experience the church in Santiago a bit hollow, but, like you, Ioved Finisterre.
    I walked the Camino in 2018. It is one of the most profound experiences in my life, and I am not religious. I still keep in touch with a number of the people I met - and I am planning my next one.:)

    wish we had met last year on the Camino - I’m only halfway in, but I’m really digging your thoughts. My experience was in the same vein (as are many’s, I suppose). What is the book called at around the 13th minute, “a theory of everything”?

    • @storiestellr
      @storiestellr 3 месяца назад

      ok it’s “The Master and His Emissary: The Divided Brain and the Making of the Western World”, found it! - and I had similar feelings in the cathedral. It’s not the destination, it’s the journey.

    Muchos datos incorrectos. Carlomagno fue derrotado por los vascos, no por los moros.
    Los irlandeses no poblaron el norte de Hispania , sino los celtas. Una de sus muchas tribus. En la Península iberica hace mas de 50.mil años que esta el homo sapiens sapiens.😊
