Jake Mueller You did an amazing job! Couldn't believe how great the solo and the ending sounded especially good when you put your own twist in at 5:05. Held your nerve well. Did you get to speak to them after or did you just have to go back into the crowd?
People have no idea how hard this is. To be handed a guitar that's not yours and you have no experience with and to just play in front of so many people. Personally, I even have a hard time using other people's guitars.
blackknightkanos not to mention that he played next to his probably favourite band and tried to give them a really good impression. This geezer was fucking legendary. I have nothing but respect for him. So calm, and so good for a person who was handed a guitar and asked to play along with the song. A7X!
Hell, biggest gig i've done was playing guitar in front of about a thousand people for a 2-hour set, with 2 years of live performances with the band and a dozen performances of violin and piano for the school (music-intensive high school) and with my own gear and I was still nervous af. Every time I dream about getting pulled by a band/artist I like and think everything would be awesome, but I would prob just stagedive right out xD
I'd probably just break out in tears if I had just played & nailed So Far Away onstage with the band, and then M. Shadows said to me "Jimmy would be proud!". That would hit me so freaking hard. Him saying just in this video hits me, and I'm watching months later on a computer screen! Seriously, that would be the greatest day of my life, almost no holds barred. You are a lucky man. Great job!
This has got to be the most epic moment in that guy's life. Even I feel it for him. It was just that great. Just look at him, he absolutely nailed the song and the solos, considering there were thousands in front of him and playing alongside such an awesome band. I would have pissed in my pants if I were him. But he was so calm, and controlled, he even chattered with syn, zacky and johnny as if he knew them for years. Who could do that?! He absolutely stole the stage.I just feel so happy for him
I honestly feel like The Rev is proud of Avenged Sevenfold, for continuing on and then doing things like this, this is what being a band is about. Doing it for eachother and the fans.
It's so good to see how human those guys actually are. They've been through all the Rockstar tropes but deep down they are really decent dudes. That never cease to make me smile!
I love how he doesn't try to outshine the band. And the band isn't trying to outshine him either. It's just respect all around. Respect for Jamie, A7X, the audience, and above all the Rev. Rock on
when I see this video, I remember my 2 best friends who have gone ahead of me.. I remember when we were still in school, 3 mischievous children that the teachers didn't like but we never fought them. take it easy there, my friend, this friend of yours will followed😭..love from 🇲🇾🫡
I'm in awe how well he did, NICE job! You were up there murdering the damn song AND walking around relaxed like it was nothing! Kudos, major kudos to you! :-)
When M. Shadows says that the Rev would be proud, AND when Synyster Gates applauds you...you know you've done something right. Props to this guy for doing so well.
this guy better always treasure thus moment... he didnt just play on stage with a7x but he played the guitar that was held and played by syn gates himself... and even the rev ...
That's my homie Jake. Incredibly gifted musician! I've been honored to be a part of a band with him for some if the best years of my life! Awesome dude. It always puts a smile on my face when I watch this.
5:39 Having M. Shadows say "Jimmy would be proud" hit me like a brick wall! Fuckin' awesome job! You really deserved that praise from him. Rest in peace, James Owen Sullivan. A7X foREVer!
Sure this song is quite easy to play but man it takes nerves to play it unprepared just like that. I'm amazed that he didn't screw it up more than those few bad notes in the end!
No Matter How Much Times I See This......I Will Always Enjoy It....The Fact That This Guy Showed His Passion And Dedicated It To The Greatest Drummer (In My Opinion) And My Idol The Rev.....And Still Gets Applause From Synyster Gates.......He Played Amazingly Beautiful.....
I've had a few questions about the camera I use. I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS5. The ZS7 is the new version and takes the same quality. I think the audio with this camera is by far the best I've used for concerts. Glad everyone likes the video - my favorite part is the end when Shadows says "that was fucking AWESOME!". Priceless.
added to the fact they are world cass in the music they make, they are the coolest group of guys on the planet. huge yet humble just no words for how awesome these men really are...R.I.P REV.
so its only been over a decade ago... but omg what a fucking experience. I'm jus now where I can even listen 💔to that song again. Thats why I hadn't seen it . but I'm so grateful that I did. You lived the dream of millions fans and on that song ! fucking amazing> I hope your still playing.💙💙🤘
This guy definitely has some experience playing live. Probably has his own band. He looked decently comfortable. But STILL. It’s a whole different thing when you’re called up to play in front of THAT many people with a real BIG band and one that’s one of your favorites. Thrown in there without any practice with the band or their equipment and an unfamiliar guitar, without warming up. Just thrown into that situation. Amazing
dude i cant even imagine being lucky enough to play on stage with such a band!!! i would be so excited i would completely loose my 7 years of guitar skills!!!
I'm a drummer and I cant play guitars at all. But damn he did a perfect job. Take a bow son. Syn's applause and when M said Jimmy would be proud, man.....there it is!!!! Not just those 5 on stage but whole a7x is proud af to see you up there playing man 💯
To let him play a song dedicated to the Rev is truly an honor
marco lopez indeed it was
That is true.
And he even says “the rev would be proud” which hits the heart so much
❤️
I know him it was awesome and sad
Applause from synyster gates. that takes talent.
Endless Entertainment Corp Or amazing dedication.
+Endless Entertainment Corp or not to look like a jerk
So true.
Or amazing humility.
More like getting him to set down his drink takes talent rofl
i teared up when he said "Jimmy would be proud" at the end.. Imagine hearing that, about yourself.. Wow..
My eyes 😭
I cried in general, because this song will always remind me of The Rev.. 😥😥
And this guy never washed his hands ever again !
If he did he had a bowl to keep the water
I bet he washed them by now.
With this corona thing he sadly had to...
And his shoulders, because of all those one arm hugs from shadows
@@THEKILLER-uc3vp he had corona
I still get chills watching this. Jake lived every rock fan's dream. So happy for that dude.
I'm still thankful you got this awesome video of it! Thanks again!
Jake Mueller You did an amazing job! Couldn't believe how great the solo and the ending sounded especially good when you put your own twist in at 5:05. Held your nerve well. Did you get to speak to them after or did you just have to go back into the crowd?
Jake Mueller its you? really nice!! archiving unlocked by few in this life, greats
Jake Mueller You sounded amazing keep up the good work and how did you get picked to come on stage
Jake Mueller that was awesome man..
you know you do good when the Syn puts his beer down and applauds you
Syn just looks like "Why do I even have this job..."
People have no idea how hard this is. To be handed a guitar that's not yours and you have no experience with and to just play in front of so many people. Personally, I even have a hard time using other people's guitars.

blackknightkanos this guy is dealing with probably the nicest guitar he will ever play so he probably didn’t have to hard of a time adjusting
blackknightkanos so true. My guitar just feels so much easier to play than other people
Hell, biggest gig i've done was playing guitar in front of about a thousand people for a 2-hour set, with 2 years of live performances with the band and a dozen performances of violin and piano for the school (music-intensive high school) and with my own gear and I was still nervous af. Έλληνας ? ✌
Agree
This band seems like a nice bunch of dudes. They even let fans play songs. That is awesome.
They let a fan do Second Heartbeat once
And unholy confessions
Are you still alive??
@@thatpanglossianguy8552 yeah he’s still alive
@@Ukfairgrounds where are you from

That dude. His happiness is priceless. I can see it in his eyes and smile. DAMN!
pretty good solo...and Syn clapping for him...How awesome

2:58 I bet he was trying to say "Look I'm doing your thing" to Syn
haha
the man : look dad, I can do it!
syn : good job buddy now keep focus and concentrate, I'm here to support you look I'm gonna give you applause.
im dying🤣
Hahaha
I honestly feel like The Rev is proud of Avenged Sevenfold, for continuing on and then doing things like this, this is what being a band is about. Doing it for eachother and the fans.
wow, just wow. such a emotional song for them and letting a fan play and nail it, my god a7x is truly a band that reaches out to the fans. rip rev.
Rev would be proud.
i am
I can't understand how calm he is...I would be so fucking nervous! >.
did anyone else get goosebumps when he played the solo
Me!!!
He looked like a pro up there. Great job. These guys are so humble and down to earth to let a fan come up there and rock out with them.
Now i wanna see a fan go up and ask for Sidewinder.
Roughknight01 or afterlife...
coletrain7122000 or M.I.A
i would do beast and the harlot immagine nailing that solo and ending on that sweet note while the go back into the riff the chills would fkin kill me
Roughknight01 or To End the Rapture
how about the wicked end ? :)
this is what makes avenged sevenfold so loved by everyone they do stuff like this they let the crowd play with them
this is for sure the best performance by a fan i've seen on youtube
It's so good to see how human those guys actually are. They've been through all the Rockstar tropes but deep down they are really decent dudes. That never cease to make me smile!
One of the best fan performance I've ever seen.
Got chills with the last solo his face just has so much joy
needs a hug ? *walks over to matt*
Finally a fan that can play So Far Away and not fuck up the solo
At least not that bad
I love how he doesn't try to outshine the band. And the band isn't trying to outshine him either. It's just respect all around. Respect for Jamie, A7X, the audience, and above all the Rev. Rock on
Always sends chills down my back to hear the band and crowd singing this all together.
just seen this for the first time in 2023 and wow. no words can describe this song, the solos he did, excellent. A7X fans always showing love!
This is why Avenged sevenfold has become one of my favorite bands
they love their fans so much
I love bands that do this
This is 9 years old and I still get tears watching this.
this must have been the best moment of this guys life, i can't imagine how awesome this was
I smile for Jake every time I watch this...He nailed it like it was a joke!
can we take a moment to appreciate how much of an unforgettable moment this would be in your life if you got the chance to do it.
Once in a lifetime chance and he owned that shit.
I could've practiced for hours and I still would've fucked it up

The solo tears my heart up every time *foREVer*
This is why they are one of the best bands out there! To let fans come up on stage and live their dreams, just freaking so awsome!!
Man, that smile on his face while playing. What a blast that must have been. Much respect.
When M.Shadows says to the man at the end 'Jimmy would be proud, thank you so much man' breaks my heart! foREVer

a7x gotta be one of the greatest bands ever, letting the fans play lead guitar, sing lead, and even play the drums. just crazy good
Jesus this kid nails it and gave me goosebumps! What a fuckin honor for him to get to do this and for the praise he got from Matt 😭 omg i love it
foREVer you live in our hearts Jimmy RIP, this guy is amazing wish I could've been there.
This is the 1. thing i love about this band. It seems like every concert, they get the fans involved with playing with them live on stage.
its fuckin awesome that A7X never gets too big to not think of the fans, rock on motha fuckers
This is absolutely the coolest thing I've seen in a while
Avenged Sevenfold lets people play on stage too?!?! Ok, I love them even more.
That's really cool when they let fans play in their songs. Such an amazing band.
If i was him, i'd die right after i 'performed' .. Such a lucky guy .. GOD!!!!

Jake is so calm every fans dream!! He's awesome!!
how lucky can that guy be lol
I like how they let fans play their instruments. It lets them be a part of the band.
Is there NO video of this song live that is in good quality?....
Haha I was suprised at how good of a quality this video is! Most are shaky and very unclear
Shit what do you expect from fans in the crowd? We aren't pros or anything...
Watch the video of them performing this song at rock am range 2014
SkolViking88 i expect a professional video made by a camera crew, but that is not to come by.
Rock am Ring 2014.
I love this so much. Jake whoever you are I think you made everyone proud with this performance.
I love the comments...
Good job man. I dig it! super jealous. I want to play Unholy on drums with them sooo badd. Arin doesnt play it like it should be played.
Thanks
Jake Mueller dude do you live in Bismarck?
No, I don't.
No problem you just did a good job
the fact he can play like that...bonus points. you killed it dude. awesome job!

The moment when he goes to the back and hugs Arin is awesome... he never forgot a single member of A7X
They should have had him play Afterlife 😂😂
That would've been much more awesome if he got it perfectly!
