In the NBA playoffs, if you are a bad defender, you will get hunted and exposed. With the numerous amount of skilled offensive players in today's NBA, it's tough to hide these below average level defenders. Ultimately, what this now creates is a chess match between both team when seeking mismatches.
In the 1st round matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers vs Dallas Mavericks, matchup hunting will be as evident as it can be. With James Harden, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard (when healthy), and Russell Westbrook for the Clippers and Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on the Mavs, this series has the most high level isolation players. So in every game played, mismatches will be hunted.
Out of all these players, Luka Doncic has the highest production and is debatably the toughest to guard. But, where he lacks tremendously is on the defensive side. So for the Los Angeles Clippers, Luka Doncic will be in nearly every action. Been saying since the trade happened that Kyrie is the best player on that team. Luka is better on D than before but he also doesn't do alot of the little things that Kyrie does. Ky is slightly more leathal offensively and definitely better defensively. Ky aint elite on D by any means but 100% better than Luka's
