@ the quantity and the quality that comes out of Yours and Henry’s barn is unbelievable!! If folks can’t find a draft team out of your barn that they just love……. Then they’re not really lookin to buy!!! IMO
Steve, don't change the bows on that wagon, that is the way they are supposed to be...sunk in in the middle to create a venturi effect...It cools things. I'll have to send a photo of an original The Mitchell wagon with bows.
That's interesting! I've never seen a wagon with a bow sunk in the middle like this. On the other hand, we haven't encountered many covered wagons in our time either. Growing up, we always had flatbed wagons. My dad always said that the cover gets in the way of a working man’s wagon, and that’s probably true because we can't go many places in these covered wagons like we can with our other ones. Thank you so much for the information! I would be interested in seeing the photo. You can email it to me at hastedrafthorsesandmules@yahoo.com. Thanks again, and God bless you!
Thanks Guys ! but I losing a bit a confidence in you both, Why do you always open up that collar so far and possible damage that collar? please respond and comment on my concern.
I reckon that’s the way we learned to do it. Everyone done it there own way and whatever way a person wants to do it and works for them is the right way to me. Thanks so much for your comment and we sure appreciate you
