    Hello, just came across your page, and your results are so beautiful! I would like to know, when you left to go home can you wrap your hair in scarf or turban? At least on plane ride home. I would think a scarf is softer than hat? When can you take pain meds ( Tylenol)?

    • @TheWellnessAbbey
      @TheWellnessAbbey  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you, Jamay! They advise us not to cover our heads with anything to avoid the risk of dislodging any of the newly implanted grafts. Some girls on RUclips did so anyway (with a scarf)- I wasn't wiling to risk that. I wouldn't personally take any of your own pain medications until the course of tablets the clinic give you run out, as you don't want to be mixing and matching tablets. After that, you shouldn't need to take any further pain meds anyway xx

    When did you start applying products on your hair like hair oil things to help for conditioning . Did you have to wait a year ?

    • @TheWellnessAbbey
      @TheWellnessAbbey  2 месяца назад

      Hi Helen, from week 5 or 6 onwards I started using extra virgin olive oil on my scalp (infrequently), aloe vera gel to keep recipient area and hair moisturised, and cantu shea butter leave in conditioner on my hair once a week (avoiding the recipient area). I started deep conditioning my hair from week 9.

      @@TheWellnessAbbey thank you for this. I was informed not to use leave in conditioner. but was told ok to use shampoo and conditioner as long as I wash it out. just curious when you started using regular shampoo and conditioner after your hair transplant ? after 2 weeks or much later

      @@helenjohnson652 You're welcome! I started using my own shampoo from month 7 (should have started much sooner than that though as the clinic's shampoo was making my hair feel soooo dry) and my own conditioner (I only use a deep conditioner) from week 9 👍🏽

    Hey sista this video was really helpful. How much was the after hair care package? What type of shampoo did you use? Can you tell the names of the medication they provided you after your hair plant procedure please? Ty 🙂

    • @TheWellnessAbbey
      @TheWellnessAbbey  3 месяца назад +1

      Glad to hear it! The package was included in the transplant cost, so we didn't have to pay extra for it. They do offer you more supply- I think 6 months worth or a years worth or something and it includes vitamins to take and a hair oil, but I didn't see the need to pay more for that. The shampoo and foam brand they gave me was Bethantax Power. I didn't jot down the names of the medications I'm afraid- apologies- but it's anti swelling ans antibacterial tablets.
