My dad passed away about 8 years ago but when he was alive he would go to Costco almost every day and he knew everyone that worked there. It was his “happy place” - I love Costco too, it’s very comforting.
@ Great videos. I watched your video daily. I also have a class B camper van. It’s a Promaster Thor Tellaro 20L. I’m from the Sacramento area. Look me up if you ever come up this way.
This is the 3rd video I have watched. I subscribed after watching the 1st one. I enjoy watching Spencer react to food he tried . It made me giggle when he had the big spoonful of garlic dip. Im a grandmother to three. I miss the toddler stage. Mine are teenagers. Your wife is a talented crocheter. She seems shy on camera. As she does more and more projects, she can stockpile quit a bit. You can go to craft events and set up a table for her to sell her items.
haha i like the funny lady was burning a hole in the back of your head with her stare while your eating that tripe! Also very curious how you guys afford this lifestyle.
Wow, Rina has it made with you, Michael. A husband that cooks, cleans, does the laundry, drives everywhere, etc.. I'm so jealous 😂 Plus you guys have an adorable son! Stay blessed traveling the 🇺🇸
That service price-point was pretty hefty…but it is a Mercedes Sprinter, so you probably don’t have to have this done again for a course of years hopefully 🤔🤷🏼♂️ Rina is also getting better n better with her projects 👍🏼👏🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️
New sub......I just found your channel and your family is so cute. I'm a half Cantonese girl, wannabe van lifer, living in San Diego. We do not have the greatest yum cha here....sorry! Safe travels!
If you travel to Chicago, the China town there has plenty choices for Chinese foods (aka real HK foods), & a lot Asian supermarkets too.but the parking there pretty expensive, unless you stay in hotels that has parking lot complimentary, stay safe, healthy, merry Xmas.
Blessings from Hong Kong! I like the name century egg more. It's like they're from ancient times. When you refer the price for eating out, does it include tax and tips?
Michael, service managers in Mercedes makes part of their salary on commissions. nothing personal but I would suggest you learn to do simple oil changes from you tube on your Sprinter for approx under $50.00 w/ oil & filter instead of $ 200+ @ dealer. don't know how miles you have - just change every 4-5K miles instead of 10,000 > as dealers suggest. trans service is way too much. is a messy job DIY - again suggest you search & find a good independent German shop that does Mercedes for perhaps 1/2 the price. if you want to save money & help yourself DIY - need to do simple maintenance like air filter change / pvc valve / wiper blades etc. especially you on the road > must know the basics.
that's a great suggestion! Honestly with us traveling and taking care of our toddler, it's difficult to find time to get into all that. Im sure I can learn how to do it, but I'm happy to pay someone to do it for me as this is much easier and gives me a piece of mind!
I wouldn't agree with the dealer options. It is always a rip-off because people "trust" them. Dealer mechanics aren't always the best as everyone thinks, they can lack experience. You should research and find a trusted mechanic. Also, Cantonese food and dim sum is lacking in San Diego. San Diego has no Hong Kong Style Cafes. There are maybe 2 or 3 legit Cantonese spots. LA was where you should have gotten dim sum. Lots of good Taiwanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese food on Convoy and in the area though. A very good and affordable Vietnamese/Chinese spot would be Minh Ky in City Heights. But it's a small hole in the wall and they may not like the recording. There is also a Sam Woo BBQ in 99 Ranch in Kearny Mesa. Eastern Dynasty is also a good Cantonese spot but may lean on the expensive side. The newest dim sum spot is Diamond Palace in City Heights but it is going to be expensive too. I miss all the areas you just visited, I lived in LA for 30 years and lived in San Diego for 6 years but currently in Charleston, SC for now. Anyways, great stuff and keep it up. I love to see Asians getting into this lifestyle. I plan to do it once I retire or if the job ever permits it.
You’re probably right about the service, we just want a piece of mind and not have to think too much about the service aspect. We’re definitely overpaying! I wasn’t expecting really to indulge in Asian cruise here in SD, im guessing its not as good compared to LA. Thanks for the suggestions, we can look into what else is good on Convoy! I hope that you too can try out this lifestyle for yourself, so much new experiences everyday!
We got it 4 years ago new, it’s at about 70k miles. I don’t believe Honda or Toyota makes high top vans like this, we wanted something with lots of space
7:20 you pretty much described San Diego Chinese food in general... pretty much average. That restaurant Jasmin is expensive and mediocre as you unfortunately found out. We have pretty good Ramen and Korean food, but Chinese food has always been lacking.
Yea, we did try out a Korean bbq spot last night it was excellent! The dim sum was more for us to just look for a place to hangout for a while wait for the van!
Michael, I love watching your videos and I don't mean to be rude. But....does your wife help do anything? All I see her do is knit and eat. Sorry, but I just had to ask.
Pretty goid channel but all yall do is eat we just scrolling watched a couple of your vids do yall just travel and just find all the different chinese foods asian food restaurants which is kind of boring your wife be throwing down she love to eat lol do we figuring your content ok yall just eat a lot

Costcos really a comforting place! We feel the same time we go, even if we don’t buy anything!
Thanks!
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching!

There’s alot of Chinese restaurants in Sacramento.

She really did, it made Spencer uncomfortable too, that was weird lol! I have a real estate business that I manage remotely

Does Rina actually do anything? Apart from looking at her phone?😂
We make it work! Happy wife happy life 😆
@@PeterWebsdale-g3eshe knits!

Does Rina sell her crafts? I would love to buy the dinosaur she made.
Good job Rina
She did good!

It's a bit costly, but we're hoping that it's going to last a while!
You guys are great 😍

The dinosaur is so cute
She did a great job with it!

Thank you for suggestion, we'll keep that in mind!
$1,700 for oil change and to check transmission is wild! You can get a remanufactored transmission for $1,900.
It was actually a transmission service, $1200! Downside of owning a Mercedes lol
Blessings from Hong Kong! I like the name century egg more. It's like they're from ancient times. When you refer the price for eating out, does it include tax and tips?
That’s a better name for sure lol. The price was the bill with tax, not including tip!
Feels so weird seeing Jasmine on RUclips. That was the only dim sum place that my parents liked.
Thanks for watching!
Dim Sum looks good. Where are your two fluffy dogs?
Thanks! They are staying with friends!

How many miles on the van? BTW, how did you narrow down to a Mercedes Benz Van instead of Honda or Toyota? Thanks for the video.
We got it 4 years ago new, it’s at about 70k miles. I don’t believe Honda or Toyota makes high top vans like this, we wanted something with lots of space
@@RinaandMichael Understood now. The high top is the key. Thanks for the information.
@ exactly

Transmission service for $1,200! That's crazy!
Yea we’re bleeding 🩸 lol
You missed having good chicken broth by discarding the chicken bones. Do you have a freezer?
We do, i used to do that too, but our freezer has limited space 😆
Does your van have a toilet? Where do you shower?
Yep, we have toilet and wet bath to shower!
@@RinaandMichaelawesome! Thats a great van!
I think the Costco Business Center on Convoy has beef sticks.
Ohh good to know, I’ll look for it there!
$1,200 for trasmission service? That was for European junk. Only cost me $110 for my Acura.
Yea i guess vans are pricer too
😂
😄
Houston has the cheapest dim sum...maybe not the best lol
😄 we haven’t been, but heard there’s lots of great Asian food too!
@RinaandMichael I think u will be disappointed coming from NY n LA. It's def not as good as flushing ny. But it's cheaper
@ maybe! I’m sure there’s some good food there!
Michael, I love watching your videos and I don't mean to be rude. But....does your wife help do anything? All I see her do is knit and eat. Sorry, but I just had to ask.
She does, and I’m glad she’s trying to perfect her craft :)
Oh my, he cleans cooks, takes care of the driving, she does nothing. Is a cultural thing or is she just lazy ?
She does alot :)
You mad you can't have that life lol
