MAKO Spearguns: Comparing a Roller Versus a Conventional Pole Spear

Dano here with MAKO Spearguns and in this video, I will compare a Conventional Pole Spear to a Roller Pole Spear. For comparison purposes, we have two MAKO Carbon Elite Pole Spears. One is a conventional pole spear and one is a roller pole spear.
Now before we get started, it's important to note that all MAKO Carbon Elite Pole Spear components are completely interchangeable. This means you can easily convert from a conventional pole spear to a roller pole spear and you can convert back from a roller pole spear to a conventional pole spear. Roller Pole Spears evenly distribute band tension on both sides of the pole, and the band drive increases over 30%.
The result is less flex, more power, and more accuracy propelling the spear further over a longer range. So, with all the benefits of a Roller Pole Spear, you might ask why go with a conventional Pole Spear. Well, it’s simple.
They have been around forever and they cost less. But, because MAKO Spearguns only sells direct to you , the diver, there is no dive shop mark up. Therefore, the MAKO Carbon Elite Roller Pole Spears actually cost less than conventional Pole Spears sold a dive shops.
