Jamey chadwell played at ETSU but didn't build that program. Randy sanders was that head coach that took ETSU to the playoffs he was the OC for Fulmer at Tennessee and OC with Jimbo at FSU. Jamey Built up the Charleston Southern program that was D1-AA.
Mike claimed nobody has mentioned Jamie Chadwell's name except him. I guess that is true if you ignore Dan Wetzel, Pat Forde, Ross Dellenger, Josh Pate, Andy Staples, Tom Fernelli, Danny Kannell, Budd Elliott, and Chip Patterson. And I'm sure there are other college football media members who mentioned him. Also, Mike and Rico spent weeks claiming it was insulting to think MSU should hire a G5 coach. Now all of the sudden at least one is on his list.
So what? Why do you care that much? My guess is that Valenti doesn't spend all day listening to those other guys. I'll be honest, Valenti is the first guy (that I listen to) that has mentioned Chadwell. I live in Lansing and I havent heard anyone in the local sports circle mention Chadswell's name. Find something else to nit pic about.
I am sooo entertained at how the UM fans are trying to control who MSU hires as their new head coach. In actuality, they are p*ssing themselves that MSU might hit a home run this time. Whats even funnier is that they know they cannot control it and they are losing sleep over it. I am amused at how much effort they put into trying to make people believe that this doesn't bother them. (bring on the denial from the Walmart Wolvies)
That you think Michigan is “pissing themselves” worried about a school they just beat 49-0 after also humiliating them last year is hilarious 😂. And next years game is Ann Arbor. Sparty could hire Saban back and still get creamed.
I was thinking about this yesterday during the Liberty game. This guy has been a winner where ever he has been like DeBoer. I think he's a good candidate but then I also worry about a Neal Brown situation. I saw Troy in a bowl game and they crushed it when he was the HC; however, he sucked until this year at WVU. This is a big mystery to me.
Chadwell turned now offers from bigger schools to take a lateral position at Liberty. He's not going to MSU. At least I hope he doesn't leave my alma mater.
If he mentions Tom Herman on his list I would be happy. I know he didn't win it all while at University of Texas but he won some big games and won bowl games. I think he makes MSU relevant again.
Michigan fan here! I really think ya'll making age too big a deal for your next head coach. There's a great HC Candidate at James Madison University by the name of Curt Cignetti who's been a winner of Championships for many years. He used to coach for Saban when he first got to Alabama! But if you look at what he's done at JMU over the past few years, they're really good! He's also an offensive minded HC. I think he'd be an excellent get for MSU.
With all due respect man, younger is better right now. Gotta be able to relate to recruits. A young, offensive minded guy is more attractive to recruits and can speed up this process. It’s do or die for MSU right now. It’s either we’re Penn State or mid Dantonio era MSU or we’re on Indiana/Purdue’s level. We need a guy that can come here, be attractive/raise some eyebrows and get this program competitive ASAP.
Interesting take but how does this jive with your rants about MSU not going for a poverty hire. Been complaining for weeks about others who have takes about group of 5 coaches for MSU? It seemed you thought that was below them no matter what.
In his previous rants about “shooting your shot” for a big name, he qualified it multiple times with…if you don’t get the big name, you have to get a guy that is a proven program builder. A winner everywhere he’s been, which he mentions here with Chadwell, again.
@@misterceo2168 no on money. MSU has more power there, and the newer facilities are a boost of interest. Location? Not really. Has been unable to land PAC 12 territory talent, actually notice California talent is leaving California more…recruiting is weak under Kelly.
UCLA plays in front of 600 fans every home game. No on campus stadium, it will never be better than MSU. MSU has won the big ten and made the playoff. Get outta here!
Too early to say that. Start November we’ll see what’s going on….given the salary, assistant coach pool, donor power, previous recruiting classes under Tucker? Someone worth mentioning will want the job, whether it’s a hot piece of ass coordinator or attempted flip of a hot piece of ass head coach 😂😂
"That's a unique place and I'll leave it there" lmao
I like the way that Valenti is thinking outside of the box
Yes. All I want for Christmas is a real offense.
FIRST THING TO REMEMBER ON MSU

WHO WOULD WANT TO COME HERE!!!
REALLY WANT TO COME HERE OTHER THAN THE $$$$!
Literally lol. Chadwick? 😆😆😆

Not horrible either way and this at least makes sense.
I like it.
You had me at offensive mind
Totally read that as Caldwell in the thumbnail lol
Same lol

Jim Comparoni from Spartan Mag also has named Chadwell. It's a very interesting candidate for sure. Is it a fit, not sure, but he is very intriguing.
@@MSUSpartanFootball You claiming Mike isn't knowledgeable in college football isn't the defense you think it is.
Chadwick from Liberty would be a great choice!
Houser is a good QB. Until the dimwitted coaching staff ruins him.

Chip Kelly would be Great, but

FOR HOW LONG!!!
Urban or Elko please.
Never heard of him, interesting candidate
Agreed

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I've been thinking about that name, too, but I'm not sure he'd want to leave JMU quite yet.

I disagree. Mack Brown and Nick Saban aren't having any issues and they're both in their 70s...older than Cignetti.

I doubt Chip Kelly would leave LA for EL.
I’ll help you out, he won’t. UCLA is a better job in every aspect. Location, Money and Recruiting

The religion thing wouldn't be an issue. Tressel was a Jesus freak
Nobody wants the MSU job, better go get a decent group of 5 head coach and hope he turns that trashy job into something that resembles a football team

That's Funny, there has been numerous polls/metrics that have Michigan State in the the top 20 of the Best College Football Programs of all Time!
You better hope 🤡
DAMN - KEEP RELIGION OUT OF IT!

Do you really have to go there!?!?
Who cares anymore, dumpster fire for a decade atleast
