I was preparing myself before "facing" this song, because I was felling that this would be a hard song for me to listen to. And indeed it is. I let her go, because that relationship hurt like hell... So many obstacles, so many struggles, anxiety and misery. It hurt to let go and I know it was for the best, but it hurts more when you realize you still love that person, though. But I do strongly believe I'll be okay and I'll have the strength to move on and be healed from that all.

I broke it off with my long-term partner of 3 years in August and that was the hardest part, to know I was hurting them beyond repair. I first "accidentally" heard Isak 2 years ago.
I was deeply touched and cried immediately.
I don't speak English...so it couldn't be the lyrics...no, it's his voice that "blows" me so much.
