i used to not like techno, thought it was too repetitive. I bought Underworld's Second Toughest in the Infants album and didn't even listen to the whole thing once. months later i smoked pot for the first time and all the beauty of Underworld and all other amazing tech popped out at me and i've been a huge fan since; though now i don't "need" pot to enjoy it, it just opened me up to these sounds. i guess it was a gateway drug for me, but into better music, not needles.
