    Coming back to this video. I can confirm whatever motor/gearbox sounds are emmited. They indicate a similar method of travtion equipment used among multiple different types of trains.
    Not exactly the same but following some sort of format
    Class 378s. Class 334s, class 358s, class 465BREL/ABB , class 365s(RIP) , class 395s , and class 397.
    Now they dknt all use the same method of traction but there are likely some similar choices in mechanical parts or framework that make them blend very similarly together after the beginning part of acceleration. Its very common in higher speed or faster commuter type trains tok ive noticed
    Across the sea in Germany also. The bombadier talent shares a strickingly similar format to the 378s and some similarity in motor and gearbox format at least as it pertains to how the sounds are emited by the operating parts.

    Great video. ☺️ I just subscribed to your RUclips channel. ☺️ These trains have the same IGBT track inverters as the Class 465/0's and the Class 465/1's.
    Edit: Forgot to say it has different motors tho. It has the same motors as the Class 800's, the Class 801's and the Class 802's.

    • @bb-3653
      @bb-3653 Год назад +1

      @hooollie indeed all different variants. 96 stocks and 95s use the same motors with different traction equipment , both supplied by alstom.
      Same thing with hitachi and the iets vs the 2009 javelin. Likely not that much different, but the sound is enough to give the difference away. Sometimes it's just a difference in traction equipment and the same motor. But in this case, the motors and the traction equipment are different with the 800s and 395s. The 395 motors sound alot better though if I'm honest the sound is richer and clear. The 800s motor sounds have been nullified to shit. The 385s have a louder version of the 800s motors , likely due to less sound proofing on the body shells as it has a lower top speed than the 800s. This tends to be the case more with proper high speed trains (125mph+) being heavier and bulkier, vs the standard high speed trains (100mph-110mph) that have lower top speeds being lighter and likely more hollowed out and allowing for more sound from the motor to permiate. That being said The 395 motors must be loud if put on a lighter train LOOL., of course every motor differs in sound loudness too, so other variables play into more audiablity.
