    Hi, I have a question, my laptop is a hp Envy 15-j003la with a 4700MQ processor, I´m thinking in upgrade this. Can my laptop works with a 4800MQ processor ? or would be any problem?

    • @Salsajaman
      @Salsajaman 3 года назад

      I know it's a late reply for you, but if anyone else is thinking this, don't do it. Yes it will work according to the service manual. It also supports the i7-4702MQ, 4800MQ, and the faster 4900MQ. If you have a 3000 series CPU this upgrade will not work. But anyway it's a small improvement for a big price, and it's not worth putting a lot of money into this old machine. Worthwhile upgrades would be to add a solid state OS drive or replace the awful LCD panel that these usually came with.

    Hi there,
    Just got a message that my fan isn’t functioning properly, so planning on following your guide here, along with the manual instructions. I didn’t see you disconnect the display in your video, is this necessary to replace the fan? (It is in the list of procedures in the manual, which is why I ask). Thanks!

      I browse comments right now cause, apparently, he disconnects the fan (05:06) and never connects it back.
