I worked on the system when they opened the extension to Eccles. We did all the new style ticket machines. That must have been around '98-99 I think

The T68s are all now gone with the last of them withdrawn on 14 January.
There are still 2 or the 6 T68A's from 1999 in service. 2001 & 2003
