I love how playful the arrangement on this song is, Sammy's vocals being echoed by the sax, the bass, and the xylophone(?) in turn. An absolutely excellent song.

@@RavenMordockyes it is. It counts as a waltz due to it’s time signature. To me it sounds like 6/8 but it could be 3/4. Either way, the emphasis on the downbeat and the time signature would qualify it as a waltz.

Love to put on their music and play along on EWI (like an electric sax). Their stuff is always so interesting melodically. And this one's no exception! Highly recommend learning an instrument if for no other reason than to appreciate the talent of this band even more 😄
I saw Sammy and the group in Oklahoma City last week and they were tremendous! When they did Coming Home Song for the encore the whole audience joined them in singing the chorus--it was one of the most thrilling and poignant experiences I've had at a concert.
