Hi there! I'm the author. Thanks for making a video on my article! While some of the more subtextual details got left out (specifically the "Ethics Committee Review" and email portions at the end), the video does a pretty good job of covering the main themes of the story. I appreciate the effort that went into it! As per always, I encourage those who enjoyed the video to read the original article; lots of time and work went into this one (over eight months!) so I'd definitely appreciate the reads! ^^
What an amazing article this is! So in depth! Thank you for the inspiration @yossipossi. SCP Explained agrees..go read the article! Well worth your time 💯🔥
You people just don't get it, do you ? So I'll explain it to you, lol. Dr Byron was the one who had the anomalous powers, not her. He tourted her for all the times she made him look bad by having the foundation think that she was the anomaly. Notice that he was the one in charge of her containment and all the testing she had to do. It was his way of getting revenge on her for all the times she made him look bad. That's why when she asked him if there was anything she could do for him to get her memory back, he refused and said that he already got everything he wanted. This is why, at the end of the story, when he retired and left the foundation, all the anomalous stuff stopped happening to her. Because he wasn't there anymore. Now, do you get it ?
@starknight2262 But then how did he use his abilities without the SCP Foundation tracing it back to him, as there were many times he was not present to have caused the malfunction. Plus how can he use tech without it glitching out? A more logical explanation is that sense he is the had researcher of her, then he was able to tamper with all the test items by either adding viruses to certain devices or programs that he can take control over the device, in which he can then control it remotely, disabiling, or glitching out anything remotely
@@LordDiscord To answer your questions, how did he use his anomalous powers without the foundation tracing it back to him ? The answer is simple. Because the foundation didn't suspect him of anything that's why. Remember his one of there head researchers so why would they suspect him of anything ? and on top of that they thought all the anomalous things were coming from her so they were putting all the focus on her to trace anything back to him. 2nd, you don't always have to be present to effect things. For an example someone with mental power like a telepath or a physic have the power to effect or control things from long distances. Look at professor X from the X-Men for an example. He's shown he has the power to control peoples minds from different cities and the ability to communicate with people from different worlds using his physic powers. This is the same anomalous powers i suspect that Dr.byron has. And if I'm correct then this would be another reason why the foundation would'nt be able to trace anything back to him because he could easily block any trace to him with his mental powers.
Whoever wants the continuation, read SCP 8066 and SCP 8066 Fear Logs( to find out what happened to Byrnes) and read SCP 7777 to see Lillian working for the Foundation and why the 05 was sloppy, hope someone animates these too.

Thankfully he didn't take it that far, still a physcotic bastard though. Still it's terrifying what would have happened to her if Byren did want more then her being out of his way.
