these people are laughing. they dont know how nostalgic this movie for me when i was a kid. best fight scene, epic kung fu style with comedy. top tier movie
I get what u r saying between all the ridiculousness it has some really heart warming moments and i too watched it for the first time when i was a kid ( one day i returned from school and it was playing on the television ) and those moments and this movie will always have a special place in my heart .
I hate that the older I get movies start becoming more than just movies. I miss when I was a teenager and movies were just fun to me. I mean they're still fun but now I see more of the message they convey. Like the mc being given so many chances to turn his life around. It didnt just take once or twice many times for him to redeem himself.
a man been though all these suffer and pain , try so hard but fail that even to be a theif , to be a gangster; from kids to aduts, after all these years and loses, finally have faith and ability to face his life and chase back his dreams, and lucky, he still has chance to meet her again , how touching and amazing of that moment. we as a normal man, most of us are failure and lost our dream, how amazing that saw a brother can reach his dreams and has his love girl, the sadness from our life turn into our truly blessing to him even he is not a real person. i have loses so many in my life, but lucky this brother been though the dilemma and find his happyness, thanks to the fate. that what i feel about the last scene And when i see his ending is so happy, i will immediately look back my own life, and the unending sadness comes up because in real world i know i will never become him.
@@chaithao1452 If what was said doesn't resonate with you, nothing else that could be added will make it relatable to you, you just don't get it, but there is nothing wrong with that.
Every time I see reactions from people in the United States to these types of surreal films, they have the typical reaction of laughing or mocking. They don't know how to appreciate true art. They think they are the masters of cinema when they are simple unfunny characters with no talent to bring any meaning. great magnitude to the real world I can only say with great respect that Stephen Chow is the father of martial arts with surreal powers with very well developed dramas and characters, a great artist 🤌🏻
Its quite amusing seeing western people react to this movie Because they most likely didnt know how relateable this movie is to a mainstream cultivation manhua Its not just normal kung fu or martial arts like IP Man, BruceLee or modern JackyChen movie
@@Godlike_Speed-7 I know you're not hate speech. And this is obviously not original, because you and I clicked on this video because we wanted to see a reaction video, right? I just want you to thank him for making this reaction video even if there were some scenes that were cut. At least you can enjoy their reactions because he made this video
Man I could never react to these. I dont know how these people hold it together. I'm choking up and tearing up in some of these moments. I'm surprised none of the women cried. Like was the lolipop blood drawing not sad to anyone?...
The grumpy landlady from Kung Fu Hustle was actually in a James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun! She was one of the schoolgirls who saved Bond. And her “hubby” in the movie? He was Bruce Lee’s stunt double in Enter the Dragon. So those flips? All him. What a power couple!
Someone told them that it's a comedy so they thought that it ought to be obligatory to laugh throughout the film. The climax of the film isn't even comic. Growing up I didn't know about Wuxia but I still appreciated and loved the film. The Buddhist Palm was one of the most epic moments of the film and they just laughed, well some of them did but everyone's minds were alike. I guess they should just sit in front of Kardashians and, Fast and Furious. I really don't give a fck about what others feel or like or do but this reaction mashup just oozed of ignorance so much so that you'd need a chalice with a bottomless pit to store. Just pressed on my nerve I guess. The question is: Is it a comedy, or a tragedy? It depends on the perspective. For Stephen Chow's character it had been a tragedy that his life had been a comedy.
wow i just finished watching X-men 1 on your video and just got a notification that you uploaded a video. Good job my friend you always know when is the right time to watch your videos.
The soccer scene at the beginner was his response to the continued calls for him to make a follow up to his movie "Shaolin Soccer". Very clearly stating "No more soccer" .😋 Kung Fu Hustle 2 is in the works right now and will co-star Jackie Chan. There are trailers already here on youtube if you do a search.

I mean, it’s a comedy. A great comedy too.
Right.. if theyre not laughing then how should they react to a comedy 😭@@ItsDrew9

He said "what are you prepared to do"
Was a kid when I watched this movie, it was the first time I realized you don’t always have to kill the villain to defeat them. Great writing
back then some people didnt know that mostly in Asia, we address even stranger as family like uncle, sister, brother

33:52 The Untouchables reference, when Connery said to Costner, "What are you prepared to do?"
Great catch, I didn't even know he said it in English until I saw your comment

Why they call it big brother that some part in china mean the older not always because they were siblings.
Same in most of Asia...
In general, if you are in a gang community then you call them by that title because its a status, not family blood lines. Big brother means big boss.
