  • The Catalina Island Museum proudly presented "Lolo and the Barbershop," the third Catalina Story Project in conjunction with Story Bank Productions on July 3, 2019. This film highlights the life and story of Lolo Saldana from childhood on the island to the Chicago Cubs spring training, WWII and how he still works as a full-time barber at 90 years old! This documentary follows the successful creation and premiere of films documenting the life of Catalina Island’s treasured long-time residents Doug Bombard and Roy Rose. These films can be viewed on our RUclips channel. "Lolo and the Barbershop" premiered at the Catalina Island Museum on Lolo's 90th birthday.
