THANK YOU!!! Somebody gets her like I do! At least with her conversation she didn’t immediately started killing people, only the kaiju, gave Mark some barely damaged injuries, and she gave him a warning of the next guy will come to see his progress.
Even though she’s most hated in the comics but Anissa had a change of heart later on, and now this version of her sounds very compelling and convincing.
Trust me, "convincing" isn't her favorite course of action

This was a brilliant change from the comic where Anissa threatened Debbie instead. Now Mark and Amber see how dangerous this relationship truly is.

did a quick google search out of curiosity. roughly 150,000 people die every, about 100,000 of which are age-related causes. billions is underselling it, but it's not the crisis Anissa is telling Mark it is. that number can go down, but it will never be 0.

It’s like trying to symbolize to us that she’s trying her best to be civil about her purpose being here. She’s clutching her fist tight because she is fighting back her non-diplomatic side.
Anissa is holding her fist in her arms means she is trying to restrain herself. But Darkseid stance is one of dominance. He is basically daring anyone brave or stupid enough to attack him

Man, she shows up out of the blue and puts her hand on amber's neck like it's a loaded gun. Anissa is the most uniquely powerful viltrumite we have seen so far.
I wouldn't call that uniquely powerful. Nolan is shown to be able to do that just as easily. He broke Immortal's neck with barely a quick slap and Immortal is supposed to be leagues above most humans. Being able to break someone's neck with little grip effort seems... even less than average strength for a Viltrumite.
Her gift appears to be her unique speed...
Though Nolan is likely overall stronger.

Damn, she's kinda more convincing and displays a lot more empathy than any other viltrumite so far. I know what she did in the comic but I didn't learn the context so I'm curious of what made her go predatorious
She's more reasonable so far in series than her Comic Counterpart. Comic Anissa started off creepy and uninterested in respecting Mark's bodily autonomy, which just escalated. This version, while ruthless, made a much better pitch for Viltrumite rule and almost comes off as concerned for Mark and his people. We'll see how that plays out.
Her culture teaches her if you want something, you take it. Consent doesn't exist to them.
Probably after finding out Mark's true lineage.
I know that it might sound weird, but I liked her. It seems that she is not brainwashed to the core by the new Viltrumite culture. The way she looks away when Mark tells that it's complicated, the way she constantly growls expressing irrigation. She even looks a lot like Nolan with those same cold blue eyes. I hope she might change in the future, though the show will tell us about that.
Near extinction of their species and... let's just say she got desperate finding a human partner that she liked... so in a moment of poor judgment she went back to the vultrumite way and picked poor Mark.
For those thinking the show won't adapt infamous scene, anissa's VA is the same actress that played Butcher's wife from the boys, if you know you know, it's pretty clear they will adapt it
Makes me wonder in one of those alternate universes did Mark end up with Annisa after joing the viltrumites

I think that estimate was only based on their body compositions. If they were able to accurately factor in experience and training that percentage of winning would drop below 5%
In an earth with both climate change, rogue mutants, and literal active kaijus running rampant, i don’t think she’s all that wrong.

If they choose to leave that out it probably wouldn’t be motivated by politics. It would probably be because rape is a extremely dark subject that they might think would be too much for audiences.

As someone who hasn't watch invincible, I'm not seeing why Mark shouldn't join them and bring Earth under their control.
In the comics, Omni-Man (Mark/Invincible's father) specifically says that humanity will only enjoy those perks for a couple hundred years while the Viltrumites strip the planet of all the resources, basically killing the planet. Plus there's be the fact that as a member of the empire, Earth would constantly be apart of the Viltrumites never ending wars and battles with other planets.
If anyone has watched legend of Korra. Why am i getting Kuvira vibes from Anissa. 👀
They really drew S2 Amber very well along with depction of her emotions, an improvement to the bland looking Amber of S1 with the uncanny unlifelike eyes.
