Today I tried halftones for the first time. I knew I would fail. Seeing vids like this, showing how tough it is and staying positive, motivates me to keep trying. Hopefully I'll get it soon. I'm ready to step my craft skills up to the next level.
Was my biggest hurdle so far. Dialing in my exposure times and proper pressure on my art on the exposure unit I had...a whole stressful mess But keep pushing and keep printing 👽
What I learned big dawg......keep a dehumidifier in your dry cabinet to the temperature of your emulsion...keep a dehumidifier in your exposure space. Get a garden hose to wash out your halftones....use 230 mesh. My exposure time is 4:02 with 20 watt black lights.....I keep my dry cabinet at 86 degrees or more for 24 hours.... you gotta dial in your exposure time and invest in a rip....
The printing community does it again. You're almost there!

What exposure unit do you have?

Was the issue your darkroom setup?
Basically, my spacing in my basement is awful
Where do you buy that clear plastic "tape" to go over your tshirt to check your lines? Love your videos!! Newbie here :)
@@MichaelBlegen-pi2li Thank you!
not sure if it matters now lol but that looks like transfer tape used mainly for decals
Newbie: I’m just gathering information before I get started. So what was your issue give details?
I found 160 mesh count being minimum for halftones, and use of an exposure calculator on each screen is a great idea.
