So funny! I grew up in NJ, spent 30 years in Phoenix, now my husband and I are in East Tennessee! Love love love this new chapter in our lives- congrats to you as well!
You both sound very mature. Hope you love your new state. We are considering Tennessee for retirement. At the opposite end of our seasons of life. It’s not easy leaving friends and family. Bravo to both of you!
We want to do the same! Has it effected you guys much to not have your family living close by, especially with a baby on the way? This is the only thing that makes me hesitant to move, yet I know I still want to.
I just happen to scroll across your 2 lovely peoples page. It made me so excited to see my family and i our not the only ones wanting to adventure out It was so cool to hear that you too fell in love with NC Because that’s the state I’ve always wanted to move too. I also fell in love, However financially a family of 4 (blue caller )family in todays world n maybe one on the way we couldn’t do it. My husband subjected TN however my biggest worry with any state outside of oregon (my birth home ) CA, WA. MD places I’ve been our biggest worry is the diversity. We are a interracial couple with interracial kids. We don’t want to be uncomfortable in our own skin Which happens now for me and my oldest daughter. We have moved to 3yrs ago to PA where my husband is originally to help his mom being sick. it’s been a struggle since. My hubby n I and knew the struggle but didn’t realize this dang long lol like just the other day a women threaten to hurt my new born baby because we was in her way at Walmart (more to it) however we know PA isn’t where we wanna really lay our roots down and a place our kids can always come home too. I’m nervous for the diversity there but I kno we won’t know unless we try lol
Aw! Welcome! So happy to have you here 😊 North Carolina stole my heart! I just loved how beautiful the state is and how nice the people are! How’s Oregon!? We’ve always wanted to visit the Pacific North West! Oh my heart breaks hearing that. I’m SO sorry you and your sweet family have to deal with such disgusting behavior. We really think you and your family would love and feel welcomed in Tennessee! One of the biggest reasons we moved here was because of the friendly people! 🥰 Hope you plan a trip out to visit!
Good luck to you guys you’re lucky you got to Tennessee we are moving our family hopefully soon to Tennessee out of South Florida because it’s just too crowded down here and hot and expensive..
Hey!! Thanks for the video!! I’ve been considering Tennessee (lived in CA, AZ and FL) but I’m pretty terrified of the Tornadoes… so y’all walk your dogs outside or go hiking? I know you’ve only been there a short time. Is that something people just accept? So scary but would really love to move there!
Hey Christy!! We’re pretty terrified of them too and to answer your question yes it’s a risk we just accept. We don’t think of it much until we hear it’s a risk in the next few days. There are a few good twitter/RUclips feeds that cover them live and help us monitor the storm. While they happen it’s always anxiety inducing like “are we gonna make it without damage” and then we’ve been lucky enough to and the beauty of the place just sucks us back in. It’s like in CA how the earthquake risk is there or FL the hurricane risk and of course the fun AZ heat. Have you visited TN? Would love the help you gain the confidence to move in any way we can!
gotta watch more of your journey!!!! We looked and looked and looked in knoxville. houses are going so quickly- got our first TN no - they went with a cash offer! We stayed at a great airbnb Cottage in Jefferson City TN It is on a lovely farm if you ever head north and want more peaceful vibes and friendly people I can pass that along. We will fly back in the Fall to look some more. Heading home after 5000 miles and lots of family and friends and hotels and lots of RAIN! 🚘🇺🇸❤️

You two look like you’d be happy anywhere 😅

How does one get “presented with the opportunity “ to move to Tennessee ? Did he apply for a job first?
Love 💕 this!
Thanks for watching Hilda!
Tennessee Freedom, if you want a zebra, you can have one.
Lol I love it! What other exotic animals should we get?
@@RyanandMelissaPage I’m more about the farm critters, cows, goats, hens, but I always wanted a giraffe 🦒
