Its really ironic that Sams big series line is "everybody's got a sob story, doesnt give you the right to be a bully" and this series collectively is the only sort of sob story shes got going on and it made her into a bully
I agree that Sam was written pretty poorly this season and is one of the weaker characters in general. But I’d also say the things that happen to her are a little more personal and antagonizing in nature than what one would call a “sob story”
Sam is correct when she said it doesn’t excuse her being a bully. Sam however has to stop calling it a sob story since that just make come across as so spoiled. She’ll never have to go through what Tory goes through.
I genuinely appreciate that Aaron brought up the point that Sam provokes Tory because of the unresolved past events that transpired between the two in Season 2 and 3. I feel as though many people, understandably, write off Sam as "the worst" because of this event during the birthday party since Sam definitely should know better than to start another incident. However, similar to Aaron's comment on being more on Sam's side, I personally feel as though Tory should still deserve some more flack than Sam because she still hasn't apologized for attacking her with a weapon at school and participating in invading her home. It's definitely a complicated situation, one that I wholeheartedly understand how highschool students would not be able to behave or respond appropriately.
Ultimately between the two of them, Sam teased Tory a bit at her job and Tory has tried to stab Sam in the face with a bracelet and invaded her home. Tory is clearly the worse of the two.
I didn’t think about this before but Terry Silver was tall as hell in Karate Kid III and now that his costars are mostly kids, he comes off like a giant now!
Okay the first encounter with Kenny and Hawk was kinda understandable on Hawk's part. He only saw Kenny rushing to punch Nate and Bert. The second encounter was definitely a douche move instigated by Hawk. Then again, we have to understand that the audience knows what Kenny is going through. Hawk does not know. Hawk just sees Kenny as a Cobra Kai that tried to fight Bert and Nate
@@QuinlanLJ not showing Sympathy doesn’t mean you have to push him. He could’ve used words especially since a kid half his size was carrying all that stuff. He shoved him when he should’ve just said I told you to leave or something.
Hawk didn't do anything to Kenny. He just told him to get out of Cobra Kai because it was going down. And yes, he did bump into Kenny, causing him to drop his snacks, but that was the worse he did. He never struck Kenny.
And honestly I don’t think he bumped into Kenny on purpose either. I think it was an accident and then he saw who it was and said “oh that sucks” which isn’t a nice thing to say, but certainly not aggressive in any way. Hawk has changed a lot and I think it makes 100% sense.
If you go back at watch Hawk and Kenny without the emotion: he said Cobra Kai is bad, he should get out, Cobra Kai is going away. Without the emotion, Hawk is helping Kenny, and I bet he saw it that way. Where it goes wrong is all the aggression and negative emotions. This is a perfect example of the circle of hate: bullies create bullies. Hawk was bullied and became a bully. Hawk became self-aware and calmed down, became less of a bully, but he’s still bullying and bullied Kenny. Kenny is on his way to becoming a bully. Also I noticed EVERY major character has something correct to say, even the “bad” guys, but they all take something too far. Everyone is fallible. This show really is all about balance.
I mean Kenny was trying to strike first, punching the other two, Hawk stopped him.... Also, Johnny side coimpletely. You don´t start a fight, and then prank them, instigating it even more. There will be obvioulsy consequences from it...That was a p*ssy move!!!
I can't believe that Daniel actually approved of them pranking Cobra Kai. That's litterally provoking another attack. Jonny was completely in the right. In Hawks defense: He only saw some Cobra Kai kid attacking his friends. What he did at the movie was still wrong though.
To be fair Hawk never was overly aggressive to the kid. He just said 'that sucks' at the drive-in and stopped him from starting a fight in the bathroom. Hawk has been there before and isn't bullying necessarily. Robbie just escalated the situation at the drive-in before Hawk, most likely, would have let him walk away
With Eric's question about why Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang Karate is treating Kenny, a new Cobra Kai student, so harshly, I'm not completely surprised considering in Season 3: - Kreese expelled some of the previous Cobra Kai students from a dojo over a bullshit reason of not feeding a hamster to a snake. - Cobra Kai steals the fundraised money for Miguel's recovery from Nate, a Miyagi-Do student, and then beat him up. - Cobra Kai destroyed Dimitri's science project and goes unpunished. - Cobra Kai attacks Chris, another Miyagi-Do student, at his workplace and steals some of the arcade's prizes. - Cobra Kai is mainly responsible for Dimitri's arm being broken during the arcade fight. - The student responsible for causing Miguel's injury never apologized and instead decided to join Cobra Kai, causing the relationship between the dojos to sour even more. - Cobra Kai invades Sam's home and attacks all the Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang Karate there. Is Kenny's treatment by the Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang Karate students undeserved? Absolutely. Unfortunately, it appears as though the students from the other dojos insinuate that every student from Cobra Kai, regardless of how recent they joined, appears as the "enemy" and, as such, "justifies" their behaviour towards their enemy.
The fact that they were ALL in Cobra Kai once should have been enough to realize that not everyone in that dojo are bad. ESPECIALLY a kid they don't even know of. Hawk and the two wimps were bullies, Just because they are in Miyagi do or Eagle Fang doesn't change that.
With Kenny and Hawk, you are assuming he bumped into Kenny on purpose. I feel it is played to bring bias but hawk went that sucks and watch were you going neutral then everyone took offense. I don't think it is clear Hawk did it to be a dick and is interesting take on it.
All the tit for tat and escalation and perpetuating of conflict is pretty true to real life. it may seem a bit over the top on the show, but it is accurate to reality. This show reminds me of my family: no one has the high ground because everyone is bad and they keep doing neverending dumb crap to each other.
I think we all keep forgetting that they're teenagers so they're not always thinking clearly. also, with the Hawk/Nate/Bert thing: all they saw was someone in Cobra Kai and to them - Cobra Kai = bad. plus, now that they are in a Karate War, to them they're most likely thinking "all's fair in love and war." as for Hawk, the only thing he saw in the bathroom was this kid in a Cobra Kai shirt attacking his friends and all he did was warn him to stay away from Cobra Kai. at the drive-in, Kenny ran into Hawk as he was running away from Bert and Nate and just said a snide remark. again, I don't think we can really fault them too much being aggressive toward a member of Cobra Kai, younger kid or not, considering that they once threw Bert through a window.
I love this season because we see more kids starting to act like Amanda has since the start. Realizing there's more important things than a karate feud in life
2:54 actually you wanna know something funny? When Khalil (Chris) found out that Gianni (Demetri) was wearing a pad to protect his crotch, he literally told him, "You know what? I'm gonna see if I can BREAK IT! I'm gonna make it even more authentic!" And he didnt break it, but he DID graze his balls a little bit. So I'd like to believe that he got the graze in the shot that they used.
Hawk didnt "get a pass" Daniel snapped at him when he was asking for help integrating with Miyagi Do because that, along with the other stuff he did, he earned his forgiveness when he designed the Okinawan sparring deck and got both dojos to build it together
It makes me nuts that Daniel didn’t tell Miguel to adjust his mirrors or turn his head or even that he made him back up to begin with that’s so lame. Come on Daniel you know better than that. 😂
24:37 On Terry Silver potentially knowing Miguel's Dad. Earlier this season that twerp Demetri looked up Silver and then spoke about what he found with Hawk. During that conversation he mentioned some random blemish on Terry's name so I wonder if maybe that will be called back on and we'll find out Miguel's Dad was involved somehow.
I agree Sam was totally in the wrong but only antagonizing Torry at work is still a high ground when it is compared to invading your home or trying to blind you with a spiked bracelet.
I remember watching this season it had been months since i had seen season 3 so i was similarly annoyed at Sam and how she was acting. However i went back and rewatched season 2 and 3 with some other reactors and the shit Tory was pulling like the fight that scarred her, and the follow up traumatising Sam in all of Season 3 including throwing one of her friends through her window her antagonism to Tory all through Season 4 makes so much sense. Especially how after being on the back foot and afraid through season 2 and 3 due to miyagi do's teachings she is really taking Eagle Fan lessons to heart I would be antagonising Tory like this as well espeially because so far she uses mostly words. It's very interesting to see the reactors who had to wait for the gap between season 3 and 4 vs the people who had just finished season 3 and jumped right into Season 4 in how they view Sam's actions.
@@Kadunk911 oh yeah definitely, but people just praise sam and act as if shes perfect when really she starts most of the issues. If you look back at most of the conflicts between characters from season 1 to 4 youll see sam is cause of most of them

Or just in youtube reactions I've watched there's just a lack of commentary about how much she's influenced this whole mess. Honestly I'm glad to hear that people see that she's just as bad as Tory, two sides of the same coin
Nahh it just makes Sam a complex human being like every character in the show. Of course she wanted to throw hands because where as Miguel is taking Miyagi Do lessons to heart she is taking Eagle Fang to heart.
well i'm glad that she was at her worst in your view to me just was teasing someone and not you know try t to maim or murder or do house invasion , if this is at her worst i' don't care
@@Billyregin Right! Like Sam literally has a right to act like that after what Tory did and I don't blame her in the slightest. Sam also let Tory off very easily. She told her parents to not make a big deal of pressing charges and all that, and even lets her come back to school after what happened
The two kids that were bullying are the ones who got it worst from Cobra Kai. The Asian kid was the one they jumped and stole the money they raised from Miguel and the other little kid was the one they threw through the window at the Christmas fight. I can see how anyone with a Cobra Kai shirt is a enemy to them. Also they have always been the smallest this is their first time not being the smallest. Not saying its right but I get it.
Sam could have just told the cops what Tory did and Tory wouldn’t have that job. Or her freedom. Giving her a hard time for one hour is a pretty generous response
I mean, from Hawks point of view, he only saw a Cobra Kai kid trying to attack. And he just warned him and scared him. He didn't do that much bad there.
Man maybe Karate should be banned. It's insane how there can never be one civil conversation between these dojos. Like you would think former Cobra Kai students would understand how people would be misguided into joining and try to help a new student find the right path but instead they antagonize him. The only people who aren't crazily antagonistic are Amanda, Kenny and Terry. I can understand Robbie because he's trying to help Kenny and he already gave a warning but still bringing up what he did to Miguel was really low. It felt like everyone was at their lowest this episode. Also in Hawk's defense Kenny did seem like he was gonna attack also Hawk has issues that need to be worked out and clearly compensates with his "Hawk" persona. Man I just wish Mr. Miyagi was here this show woould only be one season if he was here to help solve the problems.
@@mlgnerd13 completely understandable it’s also just that she should be better too she’s stooping to a low level but in the same sense I find that fine 🤣 but she should be a clearer thinker I guess but they are all kids too kids do hella contradicting things
@@KiraYoza It's not the moral high ground, for sure. But I think most people would put their safety over the moral high ground. Being the better person is a nice thought, but it's not always the best path
Sam is still just a teenager.... She doesn't understad the concept of "two wrongs don't make a right" either that or Daniel and Amanda are not very good parents and didn't teach her that lol
I think in a way, it plays into Sam being an extremely spoiled kid who always got what she wanted. She in a way, feels better than other people (not entirely her fault cause her father also feels as if he and his beliefs are above everyone else’s) so she sees that and learns that way of thinking. So now coming up against a situation she can’t control, she feels powerless and in return is very spiteful. I think a lot of it boils down to the fact that she grew up in a wealthy home and got everything she wanted. Not to mention she’s driving around in a 2021 Mercedes AMG… lol (also a reason viewers are gravitating towards Tori because she has nothing so she’s in a way, fighting for something).
Been saying this since season 1 ... Sam is the true villain of the show ... she is selfish and only thinks for herself ... she created the rivalry between Miguel and Robby by trying to have her cake and eat it too.
That's incredibly unfair to her. The rivalry started because Miguel was a drunk teenager who got jealous. All she did was be nice to Robby, she clearly had no romantic intentions when she brought him to the party.
Why does this comment remind me so much of "Daniel was the real villain of Karate Kid"? if Cobra Kai indicates anything, it's that no sole person is a villain in this story.
She created the rivalry with Tory too. She was jealous of Aisha’s new friendship with her. Accused her of stealing her mom’s wallet. And tried to take Tory’s bag right off of her. No attempt at a resolve from her even after her father and karate partner caught and took out the actual thieves.

Tory is clearly the worse of the two.
not only that but Sam agreed to not press charges for the home invasion and later Sam allows something else again!
sam is utterly unlikeable
Demetri: Can you believe they have Mr. Pitt and Dr. Pepper?
Aaron: I love Demetri
That was literally me 😂
He finally gave Demetri some respect!
I can see Rick is very gleeful watching Terry 😄
I didn’t think about this before but Terry Silver was tall as hell in Karate Kid III and now that his costars are mostly kids, he comes off like a giant now!
Okay the first encounter with Kenny and Hawk was kinda understandable on Hawk's part. He only saw Kenny rushing to punch Nate and Bert. The second encounter was definitely a douche move instigated by Hawk. Then again, we have to understand that the audience knows what Kenny is going through. Hawk does not know. Hawk just sees Kenny as a Cobra Kai that tried to fight Bert and Nate
the soundtrack is awesome. the music used when terry came in is just a great example of the soundtrack.
Hawk definitely shouldn’t have shoved Kenny when he was holding all that, he hadn’t done anything yet.
By that point he only saw Kenny trying to attack two kids in a bathroom. Why would he feel sympathy for a Cobra Kai?
@@QuinlanLJ not showing Sympathy doesn’t mean you have to push him. He could’ve used words especially since a kid half his size was carrying all that stuff. He shoved him when he should’ve just said I told you to leave or something.
The baseball diamond water sprinkler setup is such an 80s movie move.
Hawk was defending his friends
Hawk didn't do anything to Kenny. He just told him to get out of Cobra Kai because it was going down. And yes, he did bump into Kenny, causing him to drop his snacks, but that was the worse he did. He never struck Kenny.
And honestly I don’t think he bumped into Kenny on purpose either. I think it was an accident and then he saw who it was and said “oh that sucks” which isn’t a nice thing to say, but certainly not aggressive in any way. Hawk has changed a lot and I think it makes 100% sense.
Sad I haven’t seen the actor who plays terry in more stuff. He has awesome facial reactions, I feel like he would be awesome in live theater
Clues to Johnny's dad. There was an combat boot that fell out of his dad's box and he was playing with GI Joes. Wondering if Kreese knows who he is.
With Eric's question about why Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang Karate is treating Kenny, a new Cobra Kai student, so harshly, I'm not completely surprised considering in Season 3:
- Kreese expelled some of the previous Cobra Kai students from a dojo over a bullshit reason of not feeding a hamster to a snake.
Weren’t half of those done by Hawk though?
The fact that they were ALL in Cobra Kai once should have been enough to realize that not everyone in that dojo are bad. ESPECIALLY a kid they don't even know of. Hawk and the two wimps were bullies, Just because they are in Miyagi do or Eagle Fang doesn't change that.
@@calebwalters1736 Yeah pretty much every example he gave as "Cobra Kai" was actually done by Hawk lol
And Robby was a part of Miyagi Do when he kicked Miguel over the balcony but that had nothing to do with being from rival dojo's.
I hate how Sam said that Tory Stole Miguel from her, Sam broke up with him and he was a free agent and she went straight to Robby
I was pissed lmao. In no instance should she be talking about "stealing" when she broke up with someone and cheated on another person for their ex
With Kenny and Hawk, you are assuming he bumped into Kenny on purpose. I feel it is played to bring bias but hawk went that sucks and watch were you going neutral then everyone took offense. I don't think it is clear Hawk did it to be a dick and is interesting take on it.
No I’m pretty sure he did that on purpose to Kenny.
Hawk was just being neutral to Kenny in this episode. It's just the framing of events that makes him look bad.
I love how they keep pointing out that the only Sane one is Amanda
I do miss when hawk was a savage , like he was kreeses weapon it was so cool . Always hearing his hawk theme and stuff everytime was just badass
All the tit for tat and escalation and perpetuating of conflict is pretty true to real life. it may seem a bit over the top on the show, but it is accurate to reality. This show reminds me of my family: no one has the high ground because everyone is bad and they keep doing neverending dumb crap to each other.
It’s so weird hearing Johnny say, “Nice kick Laruso!” I know he’s saying it to Daniel’s daughter but still feels wrong somehow.
HELL YEA GUYS. NO MERCY
Peter Cetera / glory of love. Great Easter egg. That was the song in KK2.
12:22 Diez-SCalate! 😆
Imagine wanting revenge for getting water on you 😂
I love this season because we see more kids starting to act like Amanda has since the start. Realizing there's more important things than a karate feud in life
Terry Silver: Master of Manipulation
2:54 actually you wanna know something funny?
When Khalil (Chris) found out that Gianni (Demetri) was wearing a pad to protect his crotch, he literally told him, "You know what? I'm gonna see if I can BREAK IT! I'm gonna make it even more authentic!"
And he didnt break it, but he DID graze his balls a little bit. So I'd like to believe that he got the graze in the shot that they used.
Terry was on his Emperor shit when he said “Good,Good” to Robby
Could be Mike Barnes. He was a bad boy, now he’s a “bad man”. 😆 Which is what Carmen called him
It's like Terry's on a constant quest to prove to himself that he could have taken that fight in Vietnam.
Hawk also broke into the LaRusso's house too, but he gets a pass.
Hawk didnt "get a pass"
Daniel snapped at him when he was asking for help integrating with Miyagi Do because that, along with the other stuff he did, he earned his forgiveness when he designed the Okinawan sparring deck and got both dojos to build it together
@@DonnyD_Mingo agreed.
I love this show for stuff like handling shavings Hawks mohawk like a character death
How has Aaron not watched, Bloodsport? The travesty! Lol. It IS dope.
I don't think Hawk Pushed the kid, he backed into Hawk running from the 2 guys, he accidentally ran into Hawk
Aaron I’m randomly wanting to ask you, but I’ve been experiencing some heartburn and wondering if you had any tips?
It makes me nuts that Daniel didn’t tell Miguel to adjust his mirrors or turn his head or even that he made him back up to begin with that’s so lame. Come on Daniel you know better than that. 😂
My prediction: In season 5 finale, Miguel will tell his biological father: "I have a father. His name is Johnny Lawrence."
Actually Peter Cetera's Glory of Love is part of the soundtrack from Karate Kid 2
Miguel dad turns out to be the kid from the 1st movie in the tournament that does all the flips and Jonny beats him in the semi finals 😳
24:37
On Terry Silver potentially knowing Miguel's Dad.
Earlier this season that twerp Demetri looked up Silver and then spoke about what he found with Hawk. During that conversation he mentioned some random blemish on Terry's name so I wonder if maybe that will be called back on and we'll find out Miguel's Dad was involved somehow.
It wasn't random. The whole toxic waste in Borneo was from Karate Kid 3.
more cobra kai reactions pls
Johnny has some Barney Stinson in him with liking Iceman in Topgun instead of Maverick :D
"Light 'em up!" Ok grandpa!
Really cool reaction dude's this show is really awesome
if john kreese is slimy and manipulative like palpatine then terry silver is a perfect darth vader
If Robby was a power ranger he'd be the Green Ranger from Mighty Morphin
Oh man the poor balls
I don't care if they've all seen it, we need a movie reaction to Karate Kid 3.
still cant believe Daniel is older that Terry
Kenny doesn’t deserve a break
Does Sam know about Tory's home situation? I don't remember that from season 3.
She does. She keeps calling it a sob story.
I don't think so or if she doesn't she doesn't know the full details of it all
He looked down when Sam kissed Miguel
Ive said it before and ill say it again, sam is the cause of 99% of the drama in this show. Shes the one character i actually cant stand
finally someone says it!! I only ever see people defending her lol
@@Kadunk911 oh yeah definitely, but people just praise sam and act as if shes perfect when really she starts most of the issues.
If you look back at most of the conflicts between characters from season 1 to 4 youll see sam is cause of most of them
@Callie definitely not how it works but ok
@@sierra2294 like who? She’s the most hated character I’ve seen on social media, Reddit and RUclips
@@Sephiroth766 tbh I dont check reddit or go down the rabbit hole that much but whenever I do check comments on official cobrakai ig posts people mention Sam but never bring up her shit nearly as much as Tory. I only see people fighting about whether they ship her with Miguel or Robby. Or just in youtube reactions I've watched there's just a lack of commentary about how much she's influenced this whole mess. Honestly I'm glad to hear that people see that she's just as bad as Tory, two sides of the same coin
Sam was at her worst this episode, also notice her reaction when Miguel did the sprinkler prank. She felt underwhelmed, she wanted to throw hands.
Mocking a girl who has at the very least tried to maim and disfigure her twice is actually very understandable believe it or not
Nahh it just makes Sam a complex human being like every character in the show.
Why can’t we all just get along?
STILL NO BATMAN CATWOMAN TRAILER REACTION
Yes cobra kai
Just so good
Did Aaron say he hasn't seen Bloodsport? why is he allowed on the videos? get him out til he does
The two kids that were bullying are the ones who got it worst from Cobra Kai.
But wasn't Hawk the one that did both those things. And he's now no longer in Cobra-Kai. Seems like faulty logic to me.
@@iainwhite8617 your right it was hawk that did both I guess they explain away as he was like that because of cobra kai.
Sam could have just told the cops what Tory did and Tory wouldn’t have that job. Or her freedom. Giving her a hard time for one hour is a pretty generous response
is that true that Mortal Kombat was supposed to be a Van Damme game
Nate and Bert.
Terry Silver ALMOST looks like Trump I find
You haven't finished the show have you?
@@rex8329 exactly what I was gonna comment
5:18 17
To be fair, Hawk kind of de-escalated the situation in the bathroom since Kenny is about to strike first.
SAM IS PISSING ME OFFF
Because she was rude to someone who literally scarred her and broke into her house to finish the job? Seems fine to me
@@mlgnerd13 completely understandable it’s also just that she should be better too she’s stooping to a low level but in the same sense I find that fine 🤣 but she should be a clearer thinker I guess but they are all kids too kids do hella contradicting things
Ayyy
Hello
What’s next can’t wait !! Do not get left behind = P-R-O-M-O-S-M!!
You have to react to bloodsport come on now
Hawk
The MVP of this season.
Your reactions to cobra Kai are so slow 😂
@@pyrothemusical Which is the show’s greatest strength. Crazy how some people miss that
Tory tried to stab her in the face but sure, Sam is the villain. My guess is you don't have luck with women, do you?
She created the rivalry with Tory too. She was jealous of Aisha’s new friendship with her. Accused her of stealing her mom’s wallet. And tried to take Tory’s bag right off of her. No attempt at a resolve from her even after her father and karate partner caught and took out the actual thieves.
Sam is by far not only the worst character on this show, but is also the worst cast character. Insufferable and unbelievable from the start
