Wow I thought this would sound rough, but the amount of musical skill shown here is pretty amazing considering how young they all were! That's one thing that always impressed me about 311 was just how intricate their style is: you don't hear always it unless you really listen the music and imagine whats going on with the instruments. Its hard to find a recording or a video of a live show where they are slacking, they always bring out the skill even 30 years later playing the same songs over and over.
Most of these songs were released on Unity: Big Time. I played keyboard and background vocals. It's been removed from EVERYWHERE but it exists. Sorry I don't have any copies anymore but they suck. I'd rather listen to my mother sleeping with a goat. Maybe Maximum Rock and Roll would find it if you put an ad. I know old friend who still have it.
It's actually a huge pleasure to hear from you, Ward! I've always wondered about your musical journey and time with Nick and Chad and would love to chat someday if you were up for a candid (interview). I hope all is well and would love to hear from you!

Still so good!
Chad Sexton has rhythm for miles.
Happy 311 Day 2022!

Wow!!!! I have Omaha Sessions but this is before that even. Damn!;
Thanks for this
Really unique music. Great.
Jim Watson was a more than capable guitarist for them. I guess he just butted heads so to speak
