NRL needs to be really careful how they deal with this. If they set a precedent with a lengthy ban what's to stop a player from claiming Nathan Cleary whispered something offensive in their ear during a tackle just before the finals and gets suspended just on hearsay, could derail a team's entire year. This could open a massive tin of worms as there appears to be no downside for the accuser.
