    Omg, thank you so much for making this video. I've had etiolated bunny ears cactus for too long, not knowing what they were at all. Keep doing a good job educating us!

    By removing some of the top segments and by letting the remaining segment get full sunlight! ?

    I think cactus just do what they do when it comes to growing. They take on all sorts of shapes and this makes them so unique!!

    Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have a bunny cactus that was given to me as a transplant a few years ago and kept in our kitchen since then, where unfortunately the light exposure was not very good so the segments are extremely long and thin, almost like grass stalks. After watching this video, I'm going to try cutting back a few and propagating them in an area with better light to see if they grow new pads!

      Thank you for watching Erin :) you may want to update us if it will really grow new thick pads

      Hey Erin. Did you try it out? I'm having the same issue with my bunny ear cactus. I'm wondering if I propagate the grass stalk like leaves and keep it in sunlight , would it start growing plumpy

    I just found your posts. I've had this cactus for years and just found out its name and now your videos have told me why mine is doing what it's doing. Will a grow light help since I live in a northern climate?

    • @succulentsforbeginners
      @succulentsforbeginners  3 дня назад

      It depends on how.black it is. If its still healthy and just turning dark and its well exposed to sun, then its just a sun stress which is good :)

      Hi Kanika, the reason mostly is underwatering, but there are othere reasons as well like funugs, bugs and similar. I have a video about that: ruclips.net/video/ZiyW8fraR3w/видео.html

    • @succulentsforbeginners
      @succulentsforbeginners  3 года назад +1

      Maybe the growlight is not bright enough? You may want to check the distance if it is not too far as well... the growlight exposure length (how long they are exposed each day) is also a factor... thanks for watching

    • @MimiYuYu

      Grow lights have different spectrums. The bulb you are using may not be suited for a sun living plant. Please check the spectrum that it gives off

      Speaking perfect English is not a requirement for RUclips. I don’t know how people can just approach people and say- hey - my American ears don’t understand you. Don’t use that voice.
      See how stupid that sounds?
