- DJ Uiagalelei and Oregon State have the chance to send a message this season to everyone who counted them out. DJ joined us in The QB Room ahead of his top 25 matchup versus the UCLA Bruins on Saturday, October 14.
We play "Clemson or Corvallis" with him, talk about Jonathan Smith's coaching style, and what he's learned about being a quarterback since he joined the Beavers. We talk about how impressive the Pac-12 has been this season, especially with how deep the quarterback talent is in that conference. We also talk about how he's learned to handle adversity during the course of his college career.

Clemson fan here...and I just want to show support for DJ...he is an ultimate competitor and student of the game; and he was treated unfairly by Clemson fans for the deficiencies of the coaching staff at Clemson...glad he is able to display his skills in a very high efficient offense...best of luck to this guy.....

Great interview. As a Beav fan and Alumnus super happy to have DJU playing ball in Corvallis. I had to bust up about your comment regarding "Benny is probably just some drunk frat guy", as 1 million years ago when I was attending OSU my fraternity bro was in fact Benny the beaver. So yes you are correct, Benny IS probably a drunk frat guy. To be fair, he was only Benny for like a month or two because he got into a fist fight with the Stanford Tree during the game. GO BEAVS!

Appreciate both of you for being a mentor to DJ and to guys in his position. In a time where it's either immediate success or nothing else but you both understand the reality of how things generally works and most guys need more reps which is fine. Hopefully DJ continues to progress as a qb and as a mentor to other athletes as well.

Excited for DJU coming to FSU, but listening to this makes me sad for what happened with the PAC 12 and to OSU with Jonathan Smith leaving in the wake of the collapse. Seems DJU would have stayed if the coaching staff stayed in tact. Hoping for good this for him and the Noles in 2024.
