remembering seeing this in Tokyo about 3 or 4 years ago at a Nissan showroom in Ginza.
Would love to have one of these for my news paper route.
seem to be based on twizy cargo : 1 seat and 1 rear opening trunk , the original twizy has 2 seats and a small inside trunk.
I love the Twizy! It is awesome. Even though you tried to explain, I don't understand how a car that has existed for 5 years can be called a prototype just because it has been rebranded and because the new brand is running a trial in a new country ... marketing and communication stuff.
Also, I don't understand why its top speed has been limited to 25mph when it works fine at 50mph (has been tested for safety in Europe)... but yes, it is not a GT3 car so you shouldn't try to slalom with it at 50mph!
NEV regs which is the only cost effective way to import it

Wow, in Canada they’ve recently released the Renault Twizy.
I could see this being popular with places that do delivery.
Have you seen the ZEV Electric T3-1 Micro? Same size, but with roll up windows, radio, heater, windshield wipers, lot less money than the Twizy. $6300 for the base model.
They are available in France for renting in cities (Bordeaux for example) for like 80€ a year.

I loved this concept... The car is also cute! Unfortunately this is not a type of car you can necking and other stuff which you can do when the driver and passenger seats are side by side :o

Looks nice. 25 mph, might as well drive an Ebicycle/trike. If I could not do the the average speed limit of 50kph to 60kph for in the city i would not want it. I could get a used Smart Car needing engine replacement for cheep - convert to electric and have better performance for same or 2k$ more.

This transportation might become more necessity than personal statement, when oil naturally would become limited resource. And this mode and size would pick up the tap. So, this device needs special lane alongside with car lane throughout country which is widened and extended bike lane. Smaller dimension with bigger battery would take you so far and affordable than current electric full sized vehicles.

The most obvious comparisonr was mentioned, the Arcimoto SRK 8. With greater range, 0 to 60 in 7.5 seconds, a top speed of 80, and a regular electric plug-in recharge? This does not compare favorably.

A car in America has to be usable on freeway or highway. Otherwise it can only be a small urban mobile.

Nissan you need to get your act together and make a ev , changing a Renault badge to Nissan badge doesn't make it a Nissan, if you were going to do any good with the Renault Twizy you should have put a bigger battery in it then it would work better and proper windows and doors should come as standard.

Interesting fact. The average American weighs more than this vehicle. They are going to have to put weight restrictions on it for the American market. Otherwise, there will be a lot of flat tires and broken axles
