Thank you for trying this out on a six string. Sometimes a lot of guys just sample tones on detuned guitars only. And for us guys that play in standard, I like to hear it for more nwothm/nwobhm style metal.
I have the Fortin Meshuggah and I still want this plugin. It sounds spot on to the real deal. I've watched every preview and it's as good as a plugin version of that amp can be. The built in Grind is worth the price. A must for metal guitarists.
I've used everything over the years from POD Farm and LePou to EZMix and TSE X50 to Toneforge and Helix Native and I must say, this is by FAR the best sounding amp sim I've ever heard. Neural DSP already KILLED it with the Darkglass emulation, this is just the icing on the cake.

Ola, another great review. Your title is NOT misleading at all. I was able to sit down with this plugin today for the first time and it absolutely destroys. Fortin continues to deliver. All I can say is, WOW. This is the best plugin I've ever seen for digital guitars.
The definition of the transients is at the level of the precision drive, maybe with less option, but with a similar character. Can't tell how much is coming from your guitar/hand/pickups tho, but surely it's impressive.
Their Darkglass emulations were extraordinarily good to my ears so there’s every chance this will be too. I can imagine this will be expensive for an amp plugin but if it’s as good an emulator of the high gain amp as the Darkglass then there’s every chance this is a winner. Nice playing Ola, some nice riffagde.

Sounds amazing, but just out of curiosity, what sets this apart from many other amp sims, even free ones like Lepou and Ignite? I've produced rock and metal for years but I'm new to amp sims as we've always tracked live with real amps in the past. From what I've gathered, it seems like more than anything the speaker impulse responses are the key to good direct tone, and I've gotten tone every bit this good from free amp sims with good IR responses, i.e. TSE 808 -> Lepou (Hybrit, LE456, Legion, etc) -> LeCab loaded with Catharsis impulses, all free plugins. Just wondering, what would I be gaining from upgrading to something like this, as reasonably priced as it is.
standalone application, different mic positions that sound original to the fortin plugin, different algorithm, different dynamic range. The list goes on.
This is one of those pieces of gear//software that just sounds like pure witchcraft. Like it doesn't sound actually physically possible to make something sound that damn good! 100% getting this. Best digital tone I've heard ANYWHERE EVER!!!!!!
Fortin Cali is awesome. It's one of my main go-to amp sims when I record, but there is still value in also having the Nameless as well. I probably have too many amp sims, but hey more tools in the tone toolbox I guess.

I love Trivium but that thing doesn’t have the most ideal specs and aesthetic. Must play great though. A raw tone black satin 7 string Solar V sounds PERFECT though.

haven't tried this one yet, but i've tried Archetype: Plini and Fortin NTS and they're KILLER. Hands down best guitar plugins i've ever tried and i believe i've tried most of those that were considered to be any good. Try it out, you won't regret it!
Jason Constantine no, actually, I don't. Its just been saturated in media so much that I happened to think of it when seeing the Fortin logo. I'd never heard of that company before so I didn't know what to think when I glanced at it. Matter of fact I hate fortnite and the community surrounding it.

Sounds good, but a 100$ for just one amp is bit much. And I already have great amp sims. The Kazrog Thermionik Suite is only 50$ and you get a lot of great sounding plugins with that IMO. The Ignite Emissary is free and absolutely killer.
i bought the kazrog thermionik suite and i have no idea how to make it sound good. i could hear the static noise even though the gain from my interface isn't high at all. if i reduce gain on one of kazrog amp, static noise will decrease and it wouldn't sound as good. even when i use a noise gate the static can be heard whenever i chug/strum. could you tell me which amp setting do you use and what changes you make to make it sound good?
I've tried a lot of plugs but this one sounds super rich and massive. Gonna check it out. Awesome demo. This kinda made my day. Was hoping for a pro-level Fortin plug and here it be. :D
Hey Ola, this sounds amazing! I realise this plugin just got released, but do you know if there would be any chance Fortin would make a digital modeller like an Atomic Amplifire type thing (but better) with this software/plugin as the main basis of the sound? This is one of the best digital tones I've heard and I think it would be awesome to be able to take it on the road.

$100 can get you a better plugin. Plus, I heard the sound samples on the site - its aiit, nothing special. If there were more sounds maybe that would justify the price.
Factually, no you can't. Wait until Neural explains the team and process behind making this. They just managed to do a digital plugin that one of the most respected high-gain minds in the world, that loathes digital, said is on point.
When you understand the tech and process that Neural have going on, man, it's insane. WAY over the top for any kind of tech out there right now. That is why they say "algorithmically perfect". I hope they release a video on it soon, so people understand the craziness that is going into making their stuff next level.
Check out Joey Sturgis Tones or anything from the Mercuriall range if you want bang for your buck. This may be a premium product, but it's not THAT far ahead soundwise.
It is SUPER versatile I just bought this after watching this. I was using amplutube, with the mesa boogie triple rectifier. They are both really i do like them. The response is on point with the Fortin Nameless even on pc ; ).

Ikr, bias for example is insanely muddy without some heavy treble boosting..

The Darkglass Emulation is incredible. I use it on double Bass.
This blows the JST Misha plugin out the water. This sounds amazing.
Their Darkglass emulations were extraordinarily good to my ears so there’s every chance this will be too. I can imagine this will be expensive for an amp plugin but if it’s as good an emulator of the high gain amp as the Darkglass then there’s every chance this is a winner. Nice playing Ola, some nice riffagde.

Here’s the thing, if you spend $100 and then use it for all of your distorted rhythm guitar tracks, it’s definitely worth $100.

When you understand the tech and process that Neural have going on, man, it's insane. WAY over the top for any kind of tech out there right now. That is why they say "algorithmically perfect". It is SUPER versatile I just bought this after watching this. I was using amplutube, with the mesa boogie triple rectifier. They are both really i do like them. The response is on point with the Fortin Nameless even on pc ; ).
