After several attempts, I managed to have them in. It took me an hour and what I learnt from it is: to avoid blinking NEVER aim at your pupil or even touch it. It is extremely sensitive and makes you blink as a Defensive reflex and ruins your efforts to have the contact in. The white part of your eye is less sensitive and this is where you should focus all your effort. Once again, Keep your pupil as far as possible.
I cannot for the life of me get them out. I wore them years and years ago like 1998 lol but I’m starting again. I also have long nails on. I might try one of those tweezer tools for contacts? 😬
Mine are strong to so hard to put contacts in I can’t even do it after 9 videos I only know how to take them out but not put them in so I have to get help nothing should ever be this difficult I just keep blinking blinking blinking
I want to say thank you a million times for the help. The third way worked for me the first time. I'm literally crying because I'm so happy. My instructor at my eye doctor really discouraged me and made me feel like a loser because for an hour I couldn't do it. I bought some costume contacts to practice with but only could get one in at a time. I watched you and boom 💥 perfection first time. I can't wait to go back to show her I can put them in so I can finally get my prescription contacts. Thank God for you!
I used to have a fear of touching my eye, and every time I got close my eyes would unintentionally blink. Going slow doesn’t really work for me. Obviously going too fast is dangerous but finding a good medium is good because if I take too long I keep wanting to blink before I touch my eye. Past that point to keep the contact in, for me pressing longer, and moving the contact a little before closing my eye helped. My eye got used to the feeling of having something touching my eye so when I took my hand away I didn’t freak out as much.
Omg!! Ur video really helped me!!! I couldn't get my lens into my eyes no matter how many videos I've watched!! I'm not afraid touching my eyes n stuff but I just couldn't get it in... then ur last technique really got to me!! THANK YOU!! ❤
I have been fitting CL for 40 years. You did a great job. Funny to hear you use terms that I used consistently. I had a girl that would lay the CL on the inside of her lower lid. When she let go of the lower lid , with the upper lid being held tight, the CL would go right on. I always told people that these are technics that get you started but once you get going you’ll become your own professional. the biggest thing for me is compliance take care of the lens properly and never ever over where them and I never fit continuous wear contacts. Great job
Since it is my first time wearing a contact lens , I'm scared that if I blink so hard or close my eyes too long the lens are going to be behind my eye so I'm pretty much a scaredy cat 🤣🤣
Thankyou sooo much. I decided to get lenses and for some reason I couldn’t make sense of how to do this at the opticians this afternoon. I’m returning tomorrow to give it another go so that I can walk away with my trial batch. Your explanation has helped me in heaps. I am confident now that I’ll be fine tomorrow. Many thanks 🙏🏼 x
Nathan I’ve gotten better at putting them in. But I struggle getting them out. Could be due to my long nails though. I don’t recall it being this hard when I had them in my teens -Stephanie
i sort of thought i'd need to learn how eyelash curler things work, to curl them out of the way pre-insertion, but physically pulling my eyelids about DOES make more sense! i'm mostly worried about losing a lens by dropping it? i know at least to plug the bathroom sink beforehand to avoid losing it down the drain but. THANK YOU FOR THE TOWEL TIP!?!? i DO wish there was a coloured eyedrop moisturiser or something i could use when inserting/removing to make it easier to find lenses when i, inevitably, drop them (which is legit what i'm most anxious about) but THANK YOU FOR THE TOWEL TIP IN THE OTHER VIDEO! my only real idea was plugging the sink to prevent losing one down the drain.
Mine always stay on my finger. Is my finger too wet? Too dry? I wore contacts years and years ago and I’m just starting again so it’s like starting over
@@teacub5986 hopefully your reply helps me learn to get mine in!! Spent an hour at the class today trying to get them in but no luck lol. Also have super small eyes so I'm going to try the third method of putting them in, with your advice
I need help 🥺🥺 I get lash extensions and they’re pretty long, 16mm. They’re thick too so it’s really hard and my eyes are kinda small. I’ve been trying for hours and I can’t do it.
Try doing this technique, i have small eyes tpo and it worked for me. So first off, use the opposite hand to the eye (if you wsnt to put it in the left eye use the right hand and vv) then, in that postition, youre going to put your cl in your index finger while your three other fingers hold down the lower part of the eye. Make sure your pupil look to another direction whilw putting it in then baam there. Sorry for the bad explanation.. If you want to search it up its called the monkey technique
I’m a boy with long ass eyelashes but I can still get it in. If you are scared, don’t worry it took me 2 hours to get both in and 15 min to get them out
Betty Osagwere I wouldn’t do that. Contacts can dry out when you sleep I guess because your eyes aren’t producing many tears. I heard of people getting their contacts stuck from sleeping and they ended up getting corneal scaring.

Thank you so much. It’s my first week of contacts and because of you I mastered putting them on and taking them out in two days.
Can't do it that way. Every time I get close to my eye the top eyelid blinks regardless of if I hold it or not

Slim Shady me too but i focused on something held my lashes and my eyes looking at smalll small things in the furniture 😂
My tip: While lifting your eyelids, you want to also lift your lashes with it. It works for me at least.

Your hair looks very beautiful. Beautiful earrings too.
I'm on day 2 this is so hard....

In the two weeks of having them, has it gotten easier? I’m over here still struggling on day 2 aswell

Hey Nancy are you able to do a updated video on your augmentation? Scaring and etc.
Love your eyeshadow look :) very natural and beautiful where can we learn how to do that ?

Ur so pretty omg
Thank you…cause I didn’t think I was gonna be able to do it without messing up my lashes
Awesome! TY for sharing!
Im going for my third class or practice this week and I am feeling hopeless. I have small eyes ...
I have super small eyes and small, almost impossible to hold away eyelashes 😂 I just had my first hour long class today and couldn't get them in 🤪
I prefer the 2nd one. i inserted it just for only 10 seconds. looking away is really comfortable.
Mine always stay on my finger. Is my finger too wet? Too dry? I wore contacts years and years ago and I’m just starting again so it’s like starting over
I’m a year late but that means your finger is too wet
Your breast augmentation video was so helpful. Thank you!!!
Ok so my challenge is when I try to put the contact in, it doesn't get off my finger what do I do DX
Ivis Mcguire you should only lightly touch the lens with a small corner of your finger so it doesn’t stick

“actually”
Good video - but how do you get the damn things to stick to your eyeball and not to your finger?
Dry off your finger before putting the lens on it
That's my problem now, after almost a whole hour having trouble not blinking lol
