Seth is one the greatest interviewers. He's a natural and can put anyone at ease. Also, jealous of Jerrod watching The Sopranos for the first time.
You get the impression that he’s genuinely happy to have the person there. He does his research also to always have something the guest likes talking about.
That’s the second guest he’s had on the show that finally watched “The Sopranos” for the first time in the last 12 Months - Iman Vellani was also obsessed with it 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
When Jarrod said on his show “I’ve never had sex with someone I love before this.” I just Really really felt that deep-a body visceral type of response ..what a beautiful vulnerable statement.
He came out in his mid-30s, not his teens when straight people are exploring. He just started exploring and experimenting. Therapy would encourage him to do it, not run away from doing it. It's apparent people can't accept that gay people don't have the same learning curve as straight people because most of us are not allowed to be gay when we finally accept that we are gay. That's why it seems that most gay people are promiscuous when really we are catching up on what straight people were allowed to do before we could do it.

As an autistic straight person, no males my age were attracted to me. So it’s not just gay people who feel they need to catch up. Everyone has a different experience. But don’t lump all straight people in with popular neurotypicals.
I also know a homecoming king and king who did get to explore in high school. They are in their early 40s now so it’s not even during a very accepting time.

Hey now I’m not trying to be a hater or a homophobe, but didn’t he come out like almost 2 years ago?
I have been a fan of his and was impressed by his coming out. I know how hard that is being a black man. Just how many times is he going to get praised for coming out?
The comedy show where he came out to the world was wonderful, and damn funny.
I watched the first episode of his HBO show and I quite frankly was not impressed. Him dealing with his gayness doesn’t seem like what I expected for a comedy show. Maybe it isn’t supposed to be a comedy show?
I hope he works his way through his issues, when he writes some more comedic stuff I will be there.
Edit: Okay so I watched episode 2. I see that he has some serious issues he needs to work through. I really hope he does.

I finished watching The Sopranos for the first time in 2022 and I'm still so blown away, it truly is the most incredible show I've ever watched! I cant believe I waited that long to watch it.

I waited for their special at the holidays. Six months to watch all the stuff you want and figure out if it’s worth paying more for. But I definitely get it because I’m not doing any more streaming specials. At some point it all becomes too much…🫤

Loved his sitcom, love his comedy, Jerrod was wayyyyy out of place in poor things. He talks in a very strange set of mannerisms and it fkd up a fantastic film
He was perfect and killed it you obviously didn't read the book! Ignore people, decide yourself. He embodied everything, every detail, of Harry-vouce, mannerisms, walk, facial expressions- that director Yorgos intentionally chose him for the role!!!! Plus Jerrod had worked with Ramy & Chris before!!!! Everything in that movie was years of intentions perfected!!!

His dad is only 65? Elder abuse? Jerrod is 37 and that’s way too old to think 65 is super old.
Technically, 65 is the cut-off when you stop being middle aged and become an elderly person and lived 80% of an average life span. But that may change in the future.
Being old is not bad. Not a lot if people get to grow old
Jarrod got a lot of issues. His reality show is rough, he treated his dad so badly, with no consideration at all. Almost like he was trying to make as uncomfortable as possible for his dad. He needs to be in real therapy for his many many problems.
As a closeted gay dude, I know how hard it's like to be open with your sexuality. I tend to keep things to myself but man, sometimes I wish I could be truthful once and for all. It's terrifying as heck.

No parent wants to see their adult kid’s partner half naked (gay or straight)😅. And I would never want to show them.
Though I do hear about some mother/daughter and father/ son sharing of stuff like that. I think it’s weird, but to each their own.
But I’m also a late bloomer to relationships and relate hard to this feeling of wanting to experience fun things but in the confines of a monogamous stable relationship somehow😅. Never cheated though.
I am afraid Jerrod is going to be overexposed. But good for him for overcoming fears. As an autistic person, I have to push myself to do a lot of things.

He is living his life and speaking about his experiences. Being single/looking for a partner/starting a relationship are big steps in any persons life. To not talk about those things at all would be crazy. On top of that sharing the experience of being the outsider in his family is also clearly something he finds healing and wants to share. The fact he’s is seeking love from the people in his life has NOTHING to do with being a gay man. I hope you can process this more and come to terms with other people’s lives being different than yours.
