When Nux first started talking about Nox, I thought it was about Wakfu, but I wasn't sure, and when he said it was Nox, I was so surprised, I had no idea Nux woud watch Wakfu. thank you Nux, very cool.
Nox is quite literally the perfect villian. Everything from his design, abilities, story, motives, personality is purely phenomenal I was genuenly rooting for him ever since we found out about his goals I'd personaly go as far to say that he is best villian in all of animation (if not further) Genuenly suprised that any anime youtuber has ever heard of Wak Fu, much less that they would talk about it
What makes the whole "Slade is dead but he's still kicking my ass" thing even crazier is that Slade actually planned it out ahead of time. He knew Robin was obsessed with taking him down, so he put some sort of neurotoxin in his mask, knowing that Robin would collect it and continue to study it after his death. When he did exactly that, the neurotoxin dispersed from the mask and into his body. This was a calculated, malicious, and ultimately successful plan to get the final laugh in at Robin long after Robin could do anything to retaliate.
Yeah Slade was pretty crazy well written ...he was evil batman... Like batmans evil step brother , and Robin evil step uncle...the ass beatings he would give robin were gruesomely epic..lol
And he would've had to get someone to activate it for him since he was dead when Robin breathed it in. And he must have made himself immune to it since he would have had to be breathing it in before Robin took his mask.
Can we please talk about how Sporticus is the villian of Lazy Town, Robby was just chilling in his lair and this dude decides to force his whole town to change lifestyles just because he wants them to, he force feeds them apples, he attempts to ruin a whole town's life just to create the reality he wants, Nux please address this.
Okay okay, but like the way the Wakfu creators wrote Nox, hooked you from the very start even without them releasing the animation of his backstory. He was SUCH a good villain and honestly, no matter who's side you were on, I promise you were crying for him at the end.
Nux: Azula took over the biggest city of the earth kingdom that have a wall that no one got through. Me: What about the dragon of the west? He gotten through. Twice.

I used to think Shredder from TMNT was a pretty solid villain. He always had a very intimidating presence, and like Slade he seemed to have elaborate plans, but he was also a character that added stability to the world around him. After everyone thought he died there was a power vacuum where all the other villains working under him started fighting each other to take his place. It was the first time I'd ever seen that concept in any piece of media. I think a lot of people lost respect for him when they found out he was an alien squid thing in a robot body, but I think he's still a pretty good villain.
I forgot about that! That's right, he was some weird tiny alien thing. Man, the show got weird during that arc, but it was still amazing. I loved TMNT, I gotta go back and rewatch it
One of my favorite "villains" was Avatar the Last Airbender, the owl guard of the library in the desert. The guy was patient, timeless, and just. He wanted to spread knowledge for the good of man, but all ANYONE *ever* used it for was violence and destruction. Sure Aang was trying to save the world from being conquered but to this owl who's entire purpose to to spread peaceful knowledge, this is a big deal and the final straw. Especially since last time the fire nation burned valuable knowledge! To ME, he was very justified and I actually feel bad for the guy because every time someone learns from him, they use that knowledge to hurt/fight others.
Legend of Korra did Wan Shi Tong so dirty (as with all of the spirits). He felt like a completely different character, and a lot less compelling. LoK really did not handle the spirit realm well- it seems so much more childish and simple than the one we saw in Avatar. Avatar's Wan Shi Tong and Koh are probably in my top 5 characters from the show, because their moralities and motives are completely incomprehensible to the humans. They, along with the rest of the spirits of Avatar, feel far more eldritch and unknowable than the spirits we see in LoK.

Azula slowly getting crazier over time and it crescendoing with the final Agni Kai is still the best scene in cartoon history. Azula is so scary with how she just takes down people with cool calculation, and even out-bested her uncle for a second, and really think she could’ve taken out Aang, Katara, and Zuko with ease if she didn’t break down completely at the end of the series and kept her cool head that disassembled people over time. She never got touched until that final episode. Edit: watch Hello Future Me’s video on the Psychology of Azula. Amazing breakdown that every fan of writing should watch, let alone ATLA.
I see what your doing Nux. Now that RUclips is meeting it's inevitable demise, you want to start making the truly meaningful videos that make people revaluate their life choices while sometimes retaining your image as a sarcastic, psychopathic, flex master.
LegoTurtle Brickfilms he was never really the villain but more of a misunderstood victim, the man who lost the most in the show. I find it funny how the man i thought was the villain in adventure time was the man who was the final piece to the puzzle in adventure times lore. He is such a key character in the series i cant even BEGIN to describe his importance. His actions echoed through out the series like raising marceline who eventually saved the last humans to bringing the wish crown back into the real world. A recent cartoon I’ve watched that had pretty well done plot and isn’t really kiddy. Is Over the Garden Wall The villain is also pretty well done also. Imo he embodies the concept of fear of the unknown since we don’t really even see how it really looks like
I got a ptsd moment when he said wakfu and showed the picture. **Now i remember the name of the show** Thank you our lord and savior Lord Nuxanor. Thank you.
1. Azula a flawless example of a villain with all the charisma, power and presence that undergoes drastic character development/transformation(downfall). Claudia from dragon prince is a runner up for maybe dethroning Azula. 2. Amon, the villain that make the heros look like the villains. 3. Viren, a great example of the villain that truly believes he's doing good and is blinded by the "ends justify the means" 4 Slade one of the most satisfying examples of an unbalanced power dynamic between heros and villains where the villain seems to always feel out of the heros league both physically(in skill) as well as psychologically without dumbing down the heros. And last but not least Bill Cyper the type of villain who's sheer insanity/ other worldliness makes them both equal parts terrifying and entertaining. And I haven't seen Wakfu past the first episode but we all know this type of villain, the hauntingly relatable villain. Which thanks for bringing him into the lime light.
Joker The insane clown I was tripping, he has enhanced strength, reflexes, etc. I must’ve been thinking that he had peak human physiology at that moment, but he’s a little beyond that. So yeah, he does have powers (not superhuman levels, tho).
Fire lord Ozia, wasn’t a great villain cause of his motive. He was a great villain because of the deep effect he had not only on the characters (Zuko and Azula, just to name a few) but also because of the effect he had on us the viewer. And one of the reasons for that is the fact that he literally remains shrouded in shadow until the last season. And that in my opinion is fantastic writing. Especially for a show that came out in the mid 2000 from Nickelodeon.
No, a villain becomes perceived as great because of his motivation and character not because of his effect. Is Sauron considered a good villain just because he threatens the world of LOTR? No. Azula is a much better villain than Ozai and is also compelling.
@@jojo_n_dat7325 there's more than one reason that a villain can be viewed as a great villain. In fact, let's take a Disney villain everyone likes to an extent. Maleficent, she was a fantastic villain in the original movie not because she was sympathetic or complex, but because of her effect. In fact, she stopped being a great villain when they gave her a sympathetic cause in the movie starring Angelina Jolie, Maleficent ended up being more of a tragic hero than a villain. Therefore, yes, a villain can be considered great purely for their effect on the series. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Ozai's effect on the Avatar world would be similar to Hitler's in the real world.
@@thecartoonheathen1659 No, giving a villain more sympathy makes them a tragic villain or at best an anti villain. They don't instantly transfer over to hero. Thanos wanted to wipe out half the universe so that the rest could live in luxury and live happy lives. He has a postive and good motivation, but the means to achieve that is disasterous. That doesn't suddenly make him an anti hero, at best you got tragic villain and I wouldn't even call him an anti villain because the means are so horrible. I get where you're coming from, a villain can still be great without being sympathetic, but adding sympathy does wonders when developing a villain. It can add likeablity, relatability and empathy enhancing that character and also allowing the viewer to understand and perhaps even partially root for them. I haven't watched Maleficient so i'm sorry I couldn't fully grasp your point.
Personally I find ozai boring compared to the other avatar villains. Zuko was a villain who got a redemption arc over the course of the series allowing us to appreciate his transformation. Azula was interesting and very compelling you actually get to see here do evil and when you learn about her backstory it only makes her better. Ozai is anticlimactic, he l never really shows anything compelling or particularly interesting in the show while they fleshed him out a bit more in the comics I would have liked to see it in the show
The difference between cartoon villians and anime villians is at least cartoon villians try to kill you *before* they do the whole monologue about their evil plans. Or least most of them do.... Wait, unless i got that reversed
@@peacetaco2trillionyearsago811 wait what? Horny as in they have long dick dialogue for the anime villians and for the cartoon villians they have nicer ways of busting a nut?
No, there’s lots of cartoon villians that do that. I’m kind of calling it the James Bond Claus as bond villians at least in the early films did some of that too. I would say Amon from Korra technically didn’t do that as he was creating a platform, to spread a speech about his plan was his plan, the only ones who’d object would be benders who don’t want to lose their powers. I actually still liked Amon with his mask off, because by then you understood who he was and it was tragic, and that whole story came from his brother, Amon didn’t ever lead himself to expose his own lies, he only waterbent once to save his own life and went full blood bending only on anyone who already knew
So.... Amon is Lelouch He is anonymous His mask is the symbol of a rebellion He is fighting oppressors He has daddy issues He has a sibling who he uses his power on He has a special power that he keeps secret from his army until they find out and abandon him The only difference is that Lelouch stuck the landing
@Tinyrocket After half of season 1, Korra just become a joke for me that I couldn't even take the whole thing seriously anymore which is bad thing because they actually have a very good start and concept. What make him so great in your opinion though? If I remember correctly he just got ability and want to do good thing but using a bad method to achieve that. Nothing really special. Maybe I just forgot.

Lordgenome from Gurren Lagann was an underrated villain, he wasn't evil, he wanted to save society from destruction by keeping them underground and hiding people from the Anti Spirals. After he joined team Gurran Lagann he was a main help to defeating the final enemies.
I'd say Toffee was a pretty cool Villain, his introduction shifted the feeling of the entire show without being out of place. Star vs the Forces of Evil built up massive potential because of Toffee and the mystery/danger he represented, the show may not have took advantage of the potential but Toffee was still solid and opened up unlimited possibilities for the show. Made every episode after his introduction feel heavier and the fans theorized like crazy because he was so intriguing.

Ever since I watched Wakfu I was in love with Nox from the second he started talking and moving. He is my one of my top 5 favorite villains EVER, so far in time anyway.
Glad to see someone appreciate Viren. That guy is an amazing character with his morally grey actions, but I feel like the creators messed with his character and put everyone against him after season 1, even when he provided logical and reasonable points to his arguments. Why did they hate Viren in the first place, from the flashback we got Viren saved thousands of lives when using Dark Magic to prevent a Blizzard that would have lasted months and almost starve the Kingdom. One life to save thousands. Yeah three queens died in getting the materials but they chose to do this. What was really weird was how many humans where against Dark Magic, because from the history lessons we learn from the show, humanity prospered because of Dark Magic and the magic itself has been engrained in human society for centuries since then. Shouldn't humans be okay seeing Dark Magic being used (or at least be in awe of it instead of the constant fear and concern we see from the soldiers) and that we should see more Dark Mages on the human side. Before Dark Magic I could see how humanity wouldn't survive in the world filled with magic and monsters, as seen in season 3 and thus needed protection from the elves and dragons, and considering elves and dragons are long living races, I could also see that the two races viewed humanity as babies that needed to watched. Considering how the first Dragon King was planning to kill an entire human city because one human would not stop using Dark magic, I was on the Dark Mages side. It was also considered impossible for humans to use any form of magic because they don't have that "special" part elves and Dragons did. We find out later on with Caleb that they do have the ability but that it was incredibly difficult. I was really annoyed about the fact that Caleb was only able to figure this out due to suffering from the after effects of Black Magic.
Alas season three totally forgot Viren's points and brain on the very second he got his crown... Season three really messed up on Viren and morals in my opinion...
Thanks for talking about Legend of Korra villains! The series gets dismissed as complete garbage, but their villains are really good (maybe not season 2 though.).
Garmadon especially in the Oni trilogy is absolutely amazing. He's easily the most complex character in the show and has gone through a crazy amount of changes. In the oni trilogy, he goes from being dead after sacrificing himself for good and to make up for the bad things he's done, to being resurrected where he's heartless, to ruling over the city with an iron fist with the actual goal to protect it from a threat he knows is coming, to helping protect the city with the protagonists while secretly wanting to understand and be like everyone else. "You are oni, but only of form. In your heart I sense uncertainty and doubt. Part of you wants to understand these pitiful beings, to be one of them." That quote pretty much perfectly describes him in MotO, which isn't a well done finale for the trilogy, but makes Garmadon the most likable and hilarious (in a way) character in the show while making him even more complex.
I'm a simple man, I see Nox, I click I also just noticed how Nox is just one letter away from Nux... suspicious to say the least Also, 1000000 respect points to Nux for saying that Nox is one of his favourite fictional villains, he's personally my favourite ever.

This was a calculated, malicious, and ultimately successful plan to get the final laugh in at Robin long after Robin could do anything to retaliate.
demigodsavatards-go I was hoping this would get mentioned, I was thinking the same thing
Holy shit! I need to watch Teen Titans.
And he must have made himself immune to it since he would have had to be breathing it in before Robin took his mask.
the final episode of teen titans basically implied he built robot versions of himself to mess with the titans even after his dead

Shredder 2003 isn't a subtle villain, but not all villains need to be subtle to be good.
Thank you
Wait since when is he an alien squid?
@@10tailedbijuu 2003. You can tell from the different art styles (CGI vs 2D) and the fact it was on 4kids

The thing is... At this point he really isn't a villain at all.

Well, I guess losing everyone she knows made her unstable. Guess that's what happens when you're Fire Lord Ozai's daughter.

LegoTurtle Brickfilms he was never really the villain but more of a misunderstood victim, the man who lost the most in the show. He is such a key character in the series i cant even BEGIN to describe his importance. His actions echoed through out the series like raising marceline who eventually saved the last humans to bringing the wish crown back into the real world. Thank you our lord and savior Lord Nuxanor. Thank you.
1. Azula a flawless example of a villain with all the charisma, power and presence that undergoes drastic character development/transformation(downfall). Claudia from dragon prince is a runner up for maybe dethroning Azula.
2. Amon, the villain that make the heros look like the villains.
3. Viren, a great example of the villain that truly believes he's doing good and is blinded by the "ends justify the means"
4 Slade one of the most satisfying examples of an unbalanced power dynamic between heros and villains where the villain seems to always feel out of the heros league both physically(in skill) as well as psychologically without dumbing down the heros.

Tbh azula made a fantastic fyuken villain that I was crying in the end.

You already had my vote when you started with Nox, also love from france, where that universe is absolutely cult ^^
Nux: *Mentions the best cartoon villain poll*
Me: *Thinking about who I’d vote for.* 💡 “Duh, Plankton.”
Nux 30 seconds later: “HONOURABLE MENTION IS PLANKTON”
That was literally me
People : Cartoons are for kids
Nux taku : But they don't understand the philosophical plot of the show
Sakura fans :
Allow me to finish that for you.
*Don't exist*
@@firefi1960 it is supposed to go like this
they can't say anything, because they don't exist

i am french, Wakfu is part of my childhood and my teenagehood, and it's sad that it's not more famous in other countries, but i am proud to say that all people i know who even heard of this show likes it
and Nox is easily one of the most if not the most relatable and deep villain in the history of western animation, and probably even eastern animation included
“There are no antagonists in Teen Titans Go!” What about Santa Claus?
The real antagonist is TTG is the friends we made along the way.
@@chaotixthefox that actually make sense.
Actually, considering how much a HATE TTG... I kinda think of Santa as the Hero...
Nux: no one knows wakfu
Me: *watched it fifteen times * yes no one has watched it
It's on cn in australia
lazyyy same
Have you watched Dofus aswell? I highly recommend the Dofus movie.
Literally been a part of my childhood, airing on the channel 3 in France
boi the boi Gousman seen it too brah
my boy plankton should’ve been numero UNO. Dude literally takes L’s everyday, day and night but manages to fight no matter what, to steal the Krabby patty formula for the last 19 yearsand fails. Screw Naruto’s ninja way cuz Plankton is the embodiment of Never Giving Up.
Just a thought 😂
Thank you for mentioning Amon. I briefly revisited Korra and I'm glad I'm not the only one who though Amon was a great villain. The writers and producers of the two series are special and must be protected at all costs.
Unfortunately, they got the rough end of the stick during the Legend of Korra's production.
as a french dude, I can say that yes, nox is indeed one of the best villains of all time. also play the wakfu or dofus mmorpg. and read the wakfu/dofus/krosmoz lore. its guuud
God, inb4 we don't have Nux video since he as become a Dofus addict XD
Yeah...i fell sorry for him
Cleocyde there’s a game?!
@@corbanoT.V. there are more than one actually give me your discord I can help you with some basic stuff
Cleocyde thanks dude!
Lowkey i can see myself relating to the Nox, All other entry's has all this fantasy mambojumbo but Nox, The absolute mad lad that proved the literal god of time wrong about aspects of time.
And he Is the physical incarnation of "Road to hell is paved with good intentions."
Life is just not fair is it?
I love tragic villains,
Kinda Spoiler:
Nox dropping a tear at the End killed me.
When he puts wakfu i went crazy
Ever since I watched Wakfu I was in love with Nox from the second he started talking and moving. He is my one of my top 5 favorite villains EVER, so far in time anyway.
Ok can’t believe doofensmirt isn’t on here. >:(
Professor Pericles too
Is there a type 6 “satire of bad villains (and even some good ones .)
Season three really messed up on Viren and morals in my opinion...
steven escobar ayy
hell yeah brother
Thanks for talking about Legend of Korra villains! The series gets dismissed as complete garbage, but their villains are really good (maybe not season 2 though.).
Yes!! All of the other villains were so good! My favorite one was Zahir.
What do Sakura fans and Zoro’s sense of direction have in common?
They don’t exist.
Hey! Don't insult zoro that way! Remember that one time he pointed Luffy in the right direction in episode 2?
Lu Be his sense of direction is still bad in skypea he does literal circles
Wow, original
Ha!!😆
I think zoros sense of direction has gotten worse over time.
Me: *clicks on a video about villains*
The universe: WE ARE NUMBER ONE
When you live in Canada so you get wakfu on Netflix and actually know what he’s talking about
Garmadon especially in the Oni trilogy is absolutely amazing.
I can’t believe Nux watched wakfu!
This makes me so happy!
I'm a simple man, I see Nox, I click
I also just noticed how Nox is just one letter away from Nux... suspicious to say the least
Also, 1000000 respect points to Nux for saying that Nox is one of his favourite fictional villains, he's personally my favourite ever.
Nox is the best that has ever lived
Bro I swear I watched wakfu before netflix made more and that it was on netflix but in French so it was subbed but I swear it deserves so much more clout
Interesting and useful comment
Same, I would give this comment a like but i cant ruin the Niceness
