First of all, good review Marc! I follow Crumby Beard and picked up on your channel as a result. SN has one of the best beer lineups in the USA and I know that Crumby Beard Tom is a disciple and am glad to see you are as well! As an aside, the SN mountains are both spectacular and intimidating. Spent many hours camping and fishing - and drinking beer of course - within their embrace.
Hey Kermit, thank you for coming over! I'm a massive fan of SN, and I definitely plan to head out to California again specifically to see them. I have family in Chicago, so Im luckly enough to have spent a lot of time there, but I haven't been to the States as a proper beer geek yet, so I need to sort that ASAP 😅
Can you do this type of thing with dreams? This was the most well said narrative about a beer I've ever heard. This guy is seriously talented! Well described.
Used to be able to get this in a massive Waitrose near my office in London. That was a few years ago now though and has long since disappeared from the shelves!
Sierra Nevada has a second brewery in North Carolina on the east coast. It's possible that's where your can originated. Of course there is little to no difference between the breweries as SN is technically sophisticated and this recipe has been around for years. They actually switched to new, more modern can/bottle art a few months ago. After years of chasing more expensive, hard to get craft beers I'm now happy to enjoy beers like Torpedo and Pale Ale that are easy to find, fresh, delicious and priced right.
Cheers Dean, I don't have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to US beers so I appreciate the comment! You're right about SN and their pricing, quite how they produce the beers they do for the money they sell at is amazing
This is a truly great beer. So easy to take for granted when it's easily accessible.
Spoiled here in Southern California, as I can pick a 6pk of these anytime at the corner store, across the area.
Yes, that is pretty unreal really! We struggle to get much good Sierra Nevada here as they keep limited stock on their website
I’m in Dallas TX and can get it pretty fresh even in the gas station
I haven't had this in over ten years. Man it was a great beer. Might have to do a revisit judging by your reaction. Cheers!
Absolutely cracking drop my friend.
But I seem to only be able to get the bottles
Yeah mate, it's bloody lovely isn't it! Yeah, I don't know the way it works if I'm honest with cans and bottles
Great review Marc. That certainly put a smile on your face 😊
Haha yeah mate, was well happy with this!!!
Very solid beer
Sounds absolutely fantastic and a beer I know I would enjoy! Top work mate.
Ah mate, you'd be all over this, it's a beauty! Cheers Chris 🍻

I could not agree more. It has been my my go to IPA for years. I tend to keep it in stock.
Yeah man, definitely one of those beers thar needs to be permanently in the fridge! Blooming beautiful 🍻
One thing the uk and the us can do is make a fantastic and interesting ale.
I think he likes it
M&S used to do this, before Waitrose. Superb beer
I don't ever remember seeing it but what a beer!
Never knew it was in M&S but it’s good to know I’m not making it up!
@@andrewsteer8860 yes this was about 10 years ago from memory
I also loved Racer 5 that they sold in M&S at the same time. A really great west coast as well. Probably not as good as the torpedo though.

I think you sold me on trying one of their beers 😆 Cheers
Hahaha don't talk to me Sharky, you will have these at your beck and call, we have to place special orders 🤣
@@TheCraftBeerHub I just had a cryo hoped Torpedo recently. That was interesting. Good, yet not what you think.
@Shark Home Brewing yeah man, I bet that was a beauty, I'm imagining a slightly more intense version of it.... I hope it didn't change it too much

Oh really? I never knew it was a supermarket beer, wow, that's actually insane 🤣

I live about a 90 minutes from Chico (up in the mountains) and I have had a deep burning love for Torpedo, for years. (Not a gay joke lol)
I've been drinking atomic torpedoes, 9.2%
I was so disappointed in the atomic as compared to the torpedo.
