Just read the books... You guys are watching interviews with an author that you don't even read and are bitching about spoilers. Why is that not weird to you?
People complaining about spoilers? This is an interview with an author of the books, not the TV series. You expect an author to not comment on two thirds of his series just because there happens to be a show on too? This interview is about A Song of Ice and Fire, not A Game of Thrones.
For those who watch the series only, here are all the spoilers: Thumb it up so everone can see! 16:25 - 16:40 (don't listen between there, a pretty big spoiler tbh) There is not any more spoilers.
Too bad I don't dare read any comments on anything GoT-related anymore (except the top comments), precisely because people flood it with spoilers. Not in a discussion, but in a "This happens, and THIS happens!"-way. But I already knew about the one in this video, I've read it on RUclips 3 times. :( Tip: If you see a spoiler, and you know it's true but don't like people spreading spoilers for the sake of it, say "Nah, that doesn't happen" so people can linger in a hope that it was a fake spoiler.
Ouch. Really bad job by the interviewer there with the spoiler. You could tell he's very enthusiastic & it adds to the interview's quality. Should've had his questions prepped ahead of time though to avoid spoiler risks. Seems like he's just going off the cuff.
Fierce Ferret Educated guess based on how much time and development has been put into Jon. GRRM has pulled similar fake-outs before, like with Brienne or Davos.
Thank you george, for your wonderful books.
Thanks for the share. Love NPR, and I love George R.R. Martin.

Maybe they're interested in the series and want to hear a bit about it in the words of the author
Spoiler Alert: Hodor wins the Iron Throne.
Wow 17:45 listen to George read his own work!!!! Absolutely amazing.
Beautiful presentation, ChiefRepublic.
What are you saying I shouldn't have bothered uploading at all? I only listened to it a few days ago myself and I found it was still interesting.
This is an interview about A Dance With Dragons. Discussing plot points from a book in the series released a decade before that is not a spoiler.
Honestly, if you're going to watch any George RR Martin interview, you probably should expect it to have book spoilers.

I have added a spoiler caption.
What the hell NPR, I couldn't believe he just said that at the 16 min mark
Huge spoiler from 16:00 to 16:45 everyone. Avoid if you want to go into seaon 4 unspoiled.
Mike at 40:40 sounds like Michael Emerson.
SPOILER AT 16:20 and no it hasn't aired as of 9/21/13
I don't understand why he's called the american tolkein, his writing style and the ideas he presents are much more like shakespear
