As interesting as solrock is as a pokemon, it simply lacks the stats. Its sitting at 90 base HP / 85 Def / 65 Sp.def VS Claydols 60hp /105 def / 120spdef. It also lacks the damage of beheeyem if you want to try it offensive, solrock just kinda can do everything cuz of its movepool, but does nothing well because of its stats.
@@keyosh1152 Absolutely, like BY FAR worse. Solrock and lunatone are 2 of the few pokemon id consider UNUSABLE in comp. They are just terrible. Id love to see you try tho if you love the pokemon, im all about theorycrafting.
dusknoir is an interesting one thats in NU, i’ve been building one recently, im sure misdreaveus would work but unsure to what effect, idk how good it would be basically
@@patrouski i see you made me realy interested in the trick room idea it seems really fun. i want to use those pokemon because my goal is to have a little ghost team that operates with trick room
Ye, at 15:55 i talk about some OU Trick room setters, but i understand if you dont wanna watch in detail. So in short: reuniclus, cofagrigus, and jellicent are all gr8 OU Trick Room setters, cofagrigus being comparible to claydol and then a toss up between whether u prefer jellicent or reuniclus. Hope this was helpful!
@@KING_VUCO Ye! if you want you absolutely can, claydol especially might just be a bit weak for the tier, bronzong should be able to hold his own tho quite well.
Great content! I tried trick room Porygon2 in random battles and had a blast.
cool video, your voice sounds so different 2 years ago I thought this was like a memer pretending to be patrouski LOL
Amazing content man! Super helpful
Love this video. Hope you can do more video like these
good vid. i have seen regular porygon in NU setting trick room as well.
Really helpful for newer players 👍
great vid 💪
Very nice vid
Would of nice to add a battle at the end but otherwise super helpful
What about hatterne and prankster whimscott both are great setters
What about solrock? Double screen/trick room/heal?

@@patrouski so even with it’s heal that Claydol cannot use? It’s worse?

lmfaooo

do you think duskull and misdreavus would work as a trick room user

HI, any OU replacement for Bronzong and Claydol?

@@patrouski thx for helping me. But i can still run Bronzong and Claydol and play competitive OU?
