The trek usually begins and ends in Lukla(Known as the most dangerous airport in the world), which is accessible by a short flight from Kathmandu. The trek typically follows the classic Everest Base Camp trekking route up to Dingboche. From Dingboche, the trail diverts towards Chhukung and then to the Kongma La Pass. After crossing Khongma La, The trek then joins the traditional Everest Base Camp trek route and reaches the base camp. The next pass is Cho La, connecting Everest Base Camp route to Gokyo valley route. You have a great opportunity to climb the Gokyo Ri for the mesmerizing spectacle of mountains and Gokyo valley.
